- I've pulled paper that was in the throat from the inside - the next thing as you suggest is taking the rollers and put them back into their sockets. I am not sure where to begin to do this - suggestions please.May 28, 2009
- Thank you dees421your instructions helped me - the shredder is still not feeding; but, it does grab it to attempt to feed. I'm hoping that after dismantling and pulling out all of the paper jam that it will reseat itself and start working after more attempts. Thank you very much.Best Solution

It could be one of two problems and they are both usually caused by over feeding. Either the tooth rollers have junped out of their sockets or they are jammed tight with paper which would cause the first to happen also. There are safety switches but unplug the unit any way. Get on the output side of the shreeder and start pulling paper or remove the metal object that was dropped into its throat. Hopefully, you won't have to take it apart to put the rollers back into their sockets.
On the output side there are most likely screws holding the unit together. These screw are most likely down in very narrow holes an inch or two deep. If you can see the screw heads use the appropriate driver otherwise start with a #2 philips with a slender shaft. Keep unit completely upside down and once all screws have been removed completely, lift the bottom straight up carefully. Remember where everything is so that you can put it all back correctly. You will more than likely find more paper or junk jamming it and less likely to find the rollers out of place. If you have someone to take digital pictures as you work, it might help to jog your memory as you reassemble it. Good luck!
