Drain hose leaks at junction in back of machine

Re: GE Mod #WJSE4150B2WW Drain hose leaks where it meets the back of the machine. I have removed the drain hose and reinserted it and then reattached the strain relief bracket. Still leaks. This looks like a very poor design, since the hose is simply inserted into the internal pipe. While there is a washer (on the outside of the machine and is presumably held watertight by the strain relief bracket), the leak persists. Was there a factory recall/replacement part or am I faced with living with drips?

GE front loading washer only leaks during stain wash cycle

It is so common that the drain leaks in many ways and is the most problematic fault in a washing machine. In all occasions it is important that your observation is most important and so is vital to the identification /rectification and solution. If you have noticed that water has leaked then as the drain hose pump/valve and fittings are located on the underside of the machine it is important that you look for possible leaks here. In some cases the drain hose would be clogged at the drain end to outlet of the house and so there will be back flushing resulting in overflow to the outside. Also the drain pump/valve can be clogged or the drain hose clamps can be loose on the grip which can all cause the leak to occur. Removing and cleaning the drain pump/valve, tightening of the hose is also very important. Also water can leak if there are gaps on the front door gaskets and must be checked but this will happen only during the cycle and not on the drain cycle end.

GE model # WJSE4150B2WW won't fill

Try washer on warm water. If you get one or the other. You need water valve. If you get none. You may need water level switch or the hose to the switch could be plugged.

Belt replacement on GE top loader WJSE4150B2WW

Your post shows a model WJSR2070B and a model WJSE4150B2WW but in this case the procedure is the same. Use a putty knife to push in the clips at the top seam of the front panel, where the front meets the top, about two inches in from each side. Tilt front panel forward and lift off bottom pegs. Loosen the four nuts holding the motor with a 3/8 inch wrench so you can push the motor back a bit. Take old belt off. Install new belt (WH1X2026), putting belt around motor pulley, part way on big pulley, then turning big pulley by hand to ride it onto the big pulley. Use one hand to pull motor toward you to put a little tension on the belt as you tighten the four nuts under the motor.

My GE WCSE4160B2WW top load washer is leaking.

Check the easy stuff first, fill hoses tight?- drain hose cracked? Failing those checks, cut a piece of cardboard slightly smaller than the size of your washer. Slip the cardboard under the washer and run a short load. Look carefully at the water mark on the cardboard. The mark on the cardboard the water leak will leave, will help you tell from which side or front to back the leak is common from. This will help point you in the correct direction to look for the trouble maker
thanks.
