Make sure the connections are tight. Are you using DVI connections or Analog?

Also, make sure your video care is properly seated on the motherboard.

Check the cable going into the back of your monitor and the cable from your monitor into your computer, one of them is most likely loose.

My hp pavillion dv7 1245dx screen has a red tint in the background?

Your lcd screen is bad. It's either the lcd screen or the video card inside the computer, but most likely the screen. You can isolate the problem by connecting an external monitor to the computer. Borrow a monitor from a neighbor, friend, relative or co-worker and connect it to the computer. If the Borrowed monitor displays ok without the read and green tint then your video card inside the computer is good but your lcd screen is bad. If the Borrowed monitor displays the same red and green tint then the video card inside the computer is bad.

It can be any kind of monitor even the old big fat crt monitors as long as it has a vga cable to connect to your computer's vga port. If so that proves your video card is ok. The video will show on most systems when you reboot without you having to do anything. Some systems will require you to hit the FN (Function key) + F1 thru F12. Hold down the FN key then hit the correct key for displaying on the monitor (F1 thru F12). The correct key will normally have CRT/LCD on it or it will have the icon of a display.

My View Sonic monitor speakers were working fine until yesterday. There is a static sound coming from them now.

Double check all your connections to start with and make sure the lead for the speakers is plugged into the GREEN port on your computer.

Also and i know this may sound silly.

Check that you don't have cell phones or wireless phones , baby alarms too near the computer or speakers.

My speakers give me advance warning of when my cell phone is going to ring if I have it too close to my computer !

Monitor screen changes from regular color to a green tinted screen?

Connect a different monitor to your computer, if it still displays the same fault the the problem is the video card and you need a replacement.

You need to check View Sonic's Web Site and see if your LCD is still under warranty. Some manufacturers carry a 3 year warranty on their LCD's.

Pink tint on Dell 1704FPT Flatpanel LCD

The monitor is broken. The circuits that generate green in the RGB setup are not working. If its under warranty, replace it.
