I found having formulas in the notefolio APP was easy to get to and very readable when I needed them. Cut copy and paste to home screen. If you have things in solver I just never any good at using it.

You can go to www.ticalc.org/basics/calculators/ti-89.html Go to archives and then file archives then Access our Archives via the Web Then stroll down and select your calculator type. After that I don't want you to feel I sent you to a data dumb but there's a lot of good Basic language math programs at this site that you can download to your calculator. If you select APPS the first APP has formulas too. Open the zip file and drag and drop the APP to your ti connect software & it should install on your calculator. Look to see if other downloads interest you just remember to download the: How to run programs manual at this sites, FixYa ti 84 plus troubleshooting and manual section.

To operate programs memory usage is critcal.

In order to run a program the program must be unarchived the program and ran in the home screen.
I usually only unarchive the program that I’m currently running, and have all the other programs archived to ensure ram has enough memory to operate with out crashing.
To archive\unarchive programs in memory press the following keys from a clear home screen:
    2nd mem 2 7

Archived programs have a * sign in front of them and and the unarchived programs will only have the program name. To archive \ unarchive simply press enter while viewing to memory screen. You should notice the increasing or decreasing of ram memory depending on if your archiving or unarchiving program memory.
The program named the Ultimate is a big program, and you need to make sure that you don’t unarchive this program, unless you have enough ram memory to run it. If all programs are archived then you should have no problem. If you don’t have enough ram memory in the calculator the calculator will lock up and all the unarchived memory will be lost, so make sure you archive all but, the program your using and only one at a time until you get to know more about programs.
To use the catlog help simply press the + sign when your in the catlog screen.
Most programs are self-explaining, and will give additional information while operating or running them.
Programs such as DEG2, FCT83, and MathDlx need programs with the starting letter Z unarchived too.

I will warn you to not download to much b/c you'll use up all the memory. Start out with a few that you know that work. Not all programs or APPS work as advertised and it helps if you like to program. Be careful b/c programs share varibles and you need to unarchive them to run a program if it is used by that program. Sometimes you have to make sure you have the correct mode settings too.

Find formula for a linear functin f that models the data exactly

It would be very unusual for a linear function to model data exactly (or a non-linear function for that matter). I must not understand your question, so would need more info before I could even consider commenting about a solution.

How do you find the derivative without values for x

I am not sure I understand what you want, but if I am guessing right, you need to calculate formulas for derivatives, where the name of some variable appears eg= d(x^2)/dx = 2 x.
Sorry, the calculator does not have a CAS, you cannot perform symbolic calculations regardless of the subject (derivatives, integrals, sums of series, factoring polynomials, expanding polynomial products, polynomial division, etc.)

I am not sure there is a question expressed here. If you have a formula you want to use to calculate some quantity in it, state the formula, provide the known values and we will show you how to enter it. As to what it serves for, I for one do not need to know.

Is there a formula for standard deviation problems

Hello,
Of course there are formulas for those calculations. You find them in books on statistics. Do not worry, the calculator has been programmed to use them. All you have to do is learn how to get the calculator to give you the results.

If you still want to see the formulas with your very eyes, I suggest you go to the local library, ask a math teacher, an accountant, or launch a Google search for them.
Hope it helps.

Calculate future population

The formula for population growth is:
population * (annual growth rate ^ number of years)

In your example,

To get your calculator to perfom the calculation, enter it in the following steps:
Type 6000000000
Press the multiply key
Press the ( key
Type 1.01
Press the yx key (located right above the divide key)
Type 24
Press the ) key
Press the = key

You can reuse this formula, substituting any values you wish for the current population, growth rate, and number of years.
