Balls do not come out of tennis ball machine (Lobster 401)

Lob ster ball bucket 201. Balls do not come out with any zip. Balls seem to get caught in rubber collar in tube, just before pvc pipe with vent holes. Could rubber collar have shrunk in last year ? I have Exactly the same problem with mine, do you think that it is a common fault?

SOURCE: I have Lobster 401

The most likely cause is that dirt and debrie in your hopper has affected the operation of the rotor. Have you cleaned it out and inspected it closely? I would look for any sticky substance close to the rotor also.

But it could also mean that your rotor screw or bolt that hold the rotor on work themselves up even slightly it could cause your problem.

Overall, the operation of the Lobster 401 is pretty simple so it is probably something simple that is wrong.

Balls stuck in tubep

It sounds like there is a build up of material on either the ball throwing wheels (decreasing the overall velocity and causing the balls to stick in the tube) or a build up in the actual tube.

From the manual, it recommends against using new tennis balls in the unit as this directly contributes to the debris build up on the ball throwing wheels. It is recommended to use slightly used balls as some of the waxy coating and ink on the ball would have been partially worn off.

I would suggest using a spray cleaner (like Windex) to clean out the tube. IF you get any material on your cleaning cloth, continue cleaning and, if necessary, use a mild abrasive pad to help with the cleaning process.

As for the ball throwing wheels, the manual suggests using a 40 to 60 grade sand paper and cleaning all of the wheels until they are slightly rough to the touch.

The manual for your unit can be found here:
I hope this helps you out!

What dryer sheets can I use

I would not recommend using dryer sheets at all to be honest. The best alternative, although a bit noisy, are the dryer balls. They are a little smaller than a tennis ball and are plastic with little spikes on them. Dryer sheets are terrible for your venting as they make the lint that comes off your clothes very sticky and it gets caught while trying to exhaust out of your house.

How durable is the babble ball?

The babble balls contain electronic components and are intended as an indoor toy. The ball won't be damaged by chewing or hitting walls but it is not designed to be hit with baseball bats or tennis rackets.

Is it ok to let my dog play with tennis balls? I notice that the fur comes off and the balls are easily ripped apart.

Tennis balls are among the favorite toy for a dog, however the problem is the fur off the ball is very bad for a dogs teeth. The fur eventually comes away from the ball and it wears away the tooth enamel. Also another risk factor is choking. You should give your dog balls that are specifically made for dogs.

My king-sized sheets (only thing in load) are getting tangled in a ball in the dryer and not getting dry.

This is pretty common with lighter fabrics and is easily remedied. Put several new tennis balls in with the sheets to keep them from balling up. There are commercial products that do the same thing, but tennis balls are much less expensive.

Is there anyway I can prevent sheets and blankets from getting wrapped into a ball as this prevents drying

You can put one or two tennis balls in with them. There are also dryer "balls" that stores sell but tennis balls work too!
