CAN SOMEONE HELP ME OUT WITH MAYBE WHAT IT COULD BE AND HOW MUCH IM LOOKING INTO GETTING IT REPAIRED AND MAYBE RECOMMEND A TECH TO CHECK IT I'M IN CANYON COUNTRY, CALIF
Goto the site www.TvRepairKits.com and get their "chirping" TV repair kit. It will fix the problem of the dead set with high pitch sound or chirping sound.

Two main common failures for these sets is the convergence amps and the flyback transformer (which is rather expensive). Both can make the set "chirp".

Chirping means the power supply is being loaded down by a short in most cases, likely a bad convergance IC
