Question about HTC S710 Smartphone
My backlight just blacks out at random, but it seems that the majority of the time, the screen blacks out because i press the left soft key. I tried a software update but the problem is still there. please help me, its a sweet phone
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
New users get to try the service completely Free afterwhich it costs $6 per call and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Received the following reponse very promptly from HTC Support
This is actually a function of the phone and not a fault. It was designed so that when you were on a call and had the phone against your ear that you didn't accidently tap on the screen and open functions or end the call etc. If you wish to access the touchscreen while on the phone you can press the power button on the side of the phone to turn the screen back on. I have attached a 3rd Party Application that allows the screen to stay on while you are on a call. Follow the below steps to install the program. Attached is a patch for the TyTN II screen blackout issue.
This is not an official fix.

i had the same problem, it turned out to be dust caught just under the plastic at the edge of the screen, a finger nail got it out or you could be fery careful and use a sharp flat knife. hope that helps,

SOURCE: HTC P3300 does not ON
Apologize for the delay in respose, was having a technical glitch at my end too. Well, if the phone is under one year manufacturer warranty , i would advice to take it in for repairs.
If the warranty is void , try hard reseting the phone ...caution before you do hard reset , it would delete all contacts and files that you saved on it after you got the phone.
Refer owners manual on how to reset the phone . If you donot have the same with , kindly lemme know

SOURCE: HTC Touch screen not responding!
sloution: hey friends my htc p3400i was fell a little on bed after that its touch screen used to work ocassionally, i went to repair shop he told its touch sensor has to be replaced in 600/-, i was damm sure my touch sensor might not be damaged so i puchased screw driver set and opened my mobile, there is one site u can find on google which has service manual of all PDA's. As i was thinking the problem was same the connection was loose i tightened it by cello tape as the scew was broken(i think earlier when my screen was cracked the rapirer chaged many things in my ciuitery as it was not looking fresh one, though it was a new phone), and now its working fine....i m too happy.
