Restricting character input You can use the SetInputTextType command to restrict the characters that the user can enter in the text input dialog box. For example, suppose an application contains an input text field for users to provide a numeric value, such as their age, and that the input text field has the variable name ageVar. To ensure that the user enters only numeric values in the text input dialog box, you could add the following code to your application:
fscommand2("SetInputTextType", "ageVar", "Numeric");
When users open the input text dialog box, they can enter only numeric values in the text fields.
For more information, see SetInputTextType in the fscommand2 function entry in the Flash Lite 2.x ActionScript Language Reference.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Too many subdirectories is most likely the problem.

The stereo may have limitations like 8.3 standard. That means a file can only be 8 characters long with a 3 character extension. Or 256 for folders, including paths. This is old school naming restrictions.

Trying to write a loop using excel text boxes such as: Dim x as integer for x= 0 to 100 textbox(x).backcolor=vbWhite x=x+1 next x Not working any thoughts thanks

You don't say how your program is not working, but one of the problems with your code is where you have x=x+1. Loops using For Next don't need a statement to add 1 to the value of x. The variable x will automatically be increased by 1 each time the program reaches the Next x statement. Your program should be
Dim x as integer: For x=0 to 100: textbox(x).backcolor=vbWhite: Next x

What if i want user to only enter character in a textbox?

The field should be set as an ALPHA ONLY field! I am talking from the data base side of programming. In data bases you set a field as Alpha, Numeric, or Text. I am not sure if you will have the same options.

With spaces and exclude spaces

Use the Len function
number_or_characters = Len(your_input_string)

Taking input from a TextBox is easy:
number_or_characters = Len(txtInput.Text)
