COD 4 connection issues

A couple of days ago i noticed a connection problem with my call of duty 4. I am playing normally with 3-4 bars connection, when every 30 secs or so it comes up with connection interrupted for a couple of seconds. Everyone else in the game is fine and thn the connection goes back up and the cycle starts again. It is really annoying as it always seems to strike at the wrong time. :(

It is not my internet connection cos i have 3 bars connection and this happens on no other game and seems to affect only me. Any reason for this? Thanks.

Try finding out what ports COD4 servers use and make sure your router/firewall is not blocking them

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Since I don't use hacks, I am not sure what is a good source. I prefer to play as it was meant to be played: with skill. ;-)

My playstation 3, which i bought this christmas, new, is crashing alot. Alot more every day. we play call of duty black ops but it does it on a couple other games as well

Usually heat or bad sectors/ corrupt sectors on the hard drive will cause this issue.

I'd recommend getting two cans of compressed air, taking it outside and clearing out the dust, then when you play cod run a mini fan directly onto the unit.

COD runs heavy on the graphics hence it happening more with that game than others ;)

I can not connect to my friend when trying to play online. I tried to send him an invite, and he recieves an error. I accept his invite and i get a message downloading game settings and nothing happens. I...

Welcome to the servers at call of duty :)
I've got a ps3 and call of duty 4+5, half the fun of the game is playing with a mate and I've had exactly the same problem as you. It just seems to be about trial and error sometimes, have tried connecting like you for over an hour before and then on other days it just connects wth my mate straight away.
Sometimes it helps to join a game(so you can see and hear other players) then invite your mate, if he/she to reply to your invite is quick sometimes you can get in that way.
The only other bit of advice is to try different times of the day as the load on the servers does change throughout the day, apart from that it really is an issue with activision and for me the playstation network
hope it gets better for you

It should work after a long time if you traded because the settings are different on different disks

I have a ps3 and it will play any other games but cod 5

This is a tough one to diagnose, I'd recommend trying to clean the blu-ray drive with a cd / dvd cleaner cd.

Try this first, since it's easy to do and we'll go from there.

Playstation 3 Connection issue. Playstation/Game/Connection ?

You might need to get another router. Your NAT might not be Open. Its probably Moderate. Which means most of the time you cannot connect to a game or host. Get my point? Well i got a new router and that fixed it :)

Totally Wrecked.

sorry man, i know how it feels.
your ps3's disk drive is dirty. try using a lens cleaner CD.
if that does not work, clean all of the dust using compressed air. AND since its not under warranty, go ahead and open it up. use the compressed air to blow allover the ps3's inside. How to open PS3.
If that does not work, your disk drive is bad. either find a replacement Drive online or sell it on eBay.

BTW, CoD 4 is [MEX]crosstheborder
