condenser feels warm when plugged in but does not come on. fan is fine. i do hear a clicking sound when i plug it in, probably every 5 or so minutes and it's a double clicking sound about a couple seconds apart
The condenser you are referring to could be the compressor. If it is clicking, that means it can not start. Let it cool for a while, unplug the unit. You may need to replace the starting components at the side of the compressor. This could be faulty. But if after replacing it, the compressor would still not start, then you have a bad compressor.
Check also the front lower grill, remove it and check the condenser if it is dirty. This is another cause of hard starting compressor.
