You will need to replace this damaged fan. the internal windings have become unstable, due to separated strands. this will cause misalignment and, it will rub against the housing, causing this noise. this will also not allow sufficient cooling as well. replace this cooling fan asap.

You need to replace the fan. Measure the fan you have now and buy one the same diameter. Then remove the old fan and put in the new fan.

I replaced a celeron 440 cpu with an E5400 intel

They are NOT compatible with *********** Board. See one is single core & the other Dual Core, & your BIOS isn't programed to use the Dual Core.

Instal better processors ive one at 2.4 . i want 2 X 2.4 PROCESSORS on a asrock motherboard ,E5200 @2.50ghz, 2 gig ram,Pentium(R) DUAL-CORE CPU. How do i install this on motherboard

The CPU support list is here for you to check.

http://www.asrock.com/support/CPU.asp

If your MoBo supports the CPU you wish to fit, remove the heat sink and cooling fan, unclip the CPU and replace in the correct orientation. DO NOT attempt to force the CPU into the socket.

Also note you may have to upgrade the heatsink and cooling fan.

CONFUSION WITH INTEL CORE DUO AND INTEL PENTIUM DUAL CORE!

You are worrying about nothing.

Intel Pentium Dual Core and Intel Celeron Dual Core are both Intel Core Dual processors.

The performance rate is mesured compared to a single core processor so your 2.2GHz dual core will do the same amount of work as a 4.95GHz single core.

Changed motherboard

when you boot your computer open up the bios menu, i forget which tab it is under but there should be an option called S.M.A.R.T fan or SCSI if it is disabled enable it this should fix it, if you do not have this option or if it doesnt work this is a link to a fan control program called speedfan http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php

Intel cpu comparable to "Dual Core AMD Opteron 1212HE"

This is an AMD 2nd generation Opteron CPU, running at 2GHz. It is a single core device. So a comparison would be against Intel business CPU - the Xeon, again compare against a single core.

2 things come to mind when I hear this; the case fans or the power supply fans. I would check those first to see if they are the problem.

Cpu fan

If you're talking about the fan on your processor that is very noisy and you already clean it and still the same
you will need to replace the fan already because sooner or later that fan will not function properly anymore
and it will cause your system some overheating....

Don't forget to rate the solution FIXYA thank you...........

Cpu enquiry

There really is no difference, there are differences in the E numbers though. Those are specificallt about it's GHz's, it L1 and L2 cache.

Though Intel Core 2 Duo is the same as Intel Dual Core. It's just a different name. This confusion is caused because of Intel changing the names of it's processors series. The Pentium brandname for example is gone. Intel Pentium Dual Core is now called Intel Core 2 Duo.

I hope this answered your question.

Greetings,

DarkNeogen.
