Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Elite Console

1 Answer

Xbox 360 audio is scratchy sounding. Bought new cables and audio problem still persists. All audio plays it just sounds distorted. I don't have an Xbox 360 Elite, it's an arcade. I'm using an HDMI cable on a Vizio 1080p TV. Just today my 360 started making a scratchy audio noise. It's not the TV, all other audio sources play crystal clear.

That's correct, just HDMI. I've got cable hooked up, it plays fine, and I've got an original xbox hooked up, and its sound is fine as well.

Cancel last, I plugged my 360 in using standard av cables, and I'm still experiencing distortion. I'm thinking it's the Vizio.

OK, this is just when you use HDMI, correct?

It has to be reflown.. That's the only solution to fixing the audio problems , because its in the motherboard.

Buying a new console may never be a good solution. Sending it into Microsoft for repair is the smartest choice, unless you have the skills to open your Xbox 360 console, and repair the reader by yourself. Yes, your game reader sounds like the problem. You may look up videos on youtube on how to disassemble your Xbox 360 console. Don't get mad if you mess up on your first try, it takes some work.

Please contact me if you have any further questions, or problems.

I plugged in my Xbox 360 and then i moved it to a different wall then put it back to the original place it was in the beginning now the sound cant work

Check the audio/video cable. Make sure it's securely in the back of the TV and console. If you still have the same problem, hook your xbox up to another TV on which you know the sound input works. If the problem persists, you no know that it's not the TV but the xbox. You could purchase a new audio/video cable from somewhere like Best Buy. If the new AV cable didn't work, you could take it back to the store and then give Microsoft a call at 1-800-4MYXBOX. Good Luck!

Can't get XBOX 360 to have audio through surround sound speaker

Make sure that you have the RC Cables (red and white) plugged into the audio ports that coincides with the component video inputs. If that wont work then try plugging the audio and video cables into the inputs for the satellite, since that works. That way you can isolate the issue. If it still wont work try using the XBOX 360 HDMI cable. That has both audio and video.

No sound from my xbox 360

You cant have HDMI and the xomponent cables pluged in at the same time.
to get audio to your monitor you will need an xbox 360 audio adapter. You can find that here. http://www.xbox.com/en-us/hardware/x/xbox360hdmiavcable/default.htm

That comes with the HDMI and audio adapter.
You can probabaly find it seperate somewhere else.

I hope this helps.

Put the Hd video cable in the slot and put the regular audio cables in their slot. It should work then.

Sound

I'm almost positive the problem is the audio cable. If everything else is working fine, you'll need to replace the audio/video cables. I've had that problem and I just bought the new cables and it worked like a beaut!
Still need help? Let me know!
