Re: Power

I have an Aiwa XC-RW700 and no power.Checked internal fuse(right in front of power supply) and it shows continuity. Are there any other fuses and,if not, any suggestions?

CD player won't open or power off.

The CD may be stuck inside or the tray mechanism may have failed

Cd player won't open and won't power off.

This means that something in the mechanism is jammed. It keeps on trying to correct for the misalignment- a service technician will need to see the unit.

My CD player just make a clicking noise it won't take a CD

you have to check the power supply board, you need to remove the cover and look for bulging electrolytic capacitor at the power supply board. just replaced those bulging capacitors.

Harmon Kardon CDR 2 no power

Check its fuse at the power supply section. If found opened, never insert an other one, till the fault has been rectified. Without any fault, the fuse won't go out. Try this to understand.

Cd player won't power on

The power supply board has capacitor that often fails and shuts power down, sometimes it will bulge at the top making it easy to spot.

Turntable will power up, all the lights come on,reads the cd but does not play. unit has to be turned off then on to eject the disc ? (hope this helps) Any ideas?

One of the buttons has got stuck, so when you press the button you want to, its not getting the message to start / stop playing. This is also why the eject won't work. Either a new button, or replacement board would make it happen for you :)
