Question about Tomtom GO 910 GPS Receiver
After reading the thread related to this subject, I was able to replace the battery. I then plugged in the desk charger/interface (The unit did not come on automatically) and let it charge overnight. I turned it on this morning and it displayed the PLEASE WAIT green/white screen and read, "formatting" in the upper left hand corner. Windows indicated that it did not recognize the USB Device. When finished formatting it displays the line drawing of the unit on the green/white screen without the red 'X' but Windows still does not recognize it. The first time, I disconnected the USB cable from the computer- then reconnected it; the second time I removed the unit from the charger/interface and "RESET" it. It went through the same 'formatting' procedure after both times and has been sitting on the green/white screen for at least 5-10 mins.
Insert your ( memory card , flash disk , cellphone , .... ) into your computer.
Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives.
Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive.
In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'.
Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place.
Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.
