Question about Manfrotto Digi 728B Tripod

1 Answer

My 728B quick release plate has one small side screw.

Can anyone tell me how to take it off?  My Nikon D70 cannot settle on the release plate because of this side screw.

We pulled the side screw out with force and it's now clear of its way for my camera.

Quick release plates on all tripods are in two pieces. One stays on the tripod and provides a locking mechanism to secure the camera and the other stays connected to the tripod socket on the camera.

Nikon 70-200mm Tripod Mounting Question

There should be a mount that attaches around the barrel of the lens with a flat part that would allow you to screw that to your quick release plate. The flat part usually have several screw holes so you can mount the quick release plate for or aft for better balance. These mounts are removable so it may have been taken off.

Quantaray QDC-NK i TTL Digital Flash Module

The Quantaray Digital NK Module has a small tab on the side of the raised boss that the 8 pins sit on that prevents it from mounting on the QTB-9500A. It's intentional- the NK Digital Module is made for newer Quantaray flashes only. You'll need the older-style AF NK Module to attach to the QTB-9500A.

According to my information, the camera may need a new flash PCB (printed circuit board). Check the repair service search on this site for someone in your area. The part number for the circuit board is: 1S014-020-1 and runs about 50$
