Re: dcm set up remote save channels

Here is your product manual:

It includes the codes2.gif for your remote. :}
If you dont see your product on the code2.gif list try a code search. If this fails your remote might not support your device.

I cannot change the channel with my MX880

Try to set the remote control; with an other code said for your device. Set-up (Programming) procedure is too much to type in here, and is not practical and it will differ brand-to-brand remote controls. If you wish to get more; check the sites linked here. It has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. One among it has general set-up codes to check with TVs and other devices are given, in the order of the 'device's brand name list' in alphabetical order. Pull up older posts. Search the sites by type in the brand name to your device in its search box at the top right part of the display window. It will help you to find the document easily.

When I change the channel in my room it changes the channel in the front room also. How can I fix this problem? Thanks

Hey there! My name is Becki Barned, and I am with Dish Network customer service. This problem may have already been resolve,d but if not, or if you want for future use, follow these steps! Make sure that your receiver is in dual mode (will have green/orange/blue light on). Thsi should fix the problem. If not go ahead and follow these steps to reprogram your remote, which may be interfering with the other room's remote. If that doesn't work, blog back, or you can find us on Twitter!!!!

How do you make the secondary dish network remote into the primary remote control?

If this has not been resolved, here are the steps to do so. This is definitely possible. The secondary remote will have a blue tab with a 2 at the bottom. If you remove the battery cover, you can slide this tab out. If you turn the tab over, you should see a green tab with a number 1. You will want to make sure that that green 1 has no other writing such as UHF. The number 1 will be green colored also. Put the green tab into the remote, then take it to the number 1 room, where the receiver box is located. Then follow the link below, which will walk you through the steps of programming your remote to both the receiver (steps 1-5) and the tv (steps 6 and on). I hope that this helps!!!

After programming my NEW Harmony One Logitech remote I can't get it to change channels on the Dish HDTV DVR along with a bunch of other problems.

To control a Dish Network PVR/Satellite, it needs to be set to respond to the default Remote Address (1).

To reset your Dish Network PVR/Satellite to the default Remote Address:

1. Press SYSTEM INFO on the receiver's front panel. The System Information screen displays on the nearby TV and shows the Remote Address.
2. Using the original Dish Network remote, press and hold SAT on your remote control for about three seconds, until all of the mode buttons light up, and then release SAT.
3. Using the NUMBER PAD, press the 1 button
4. Press POUND (#). If you entered the address correctly, SAT will flash three times.
5. Press RECORD. Make sure the Remote Address you see on the System Information screen is 1.
6. Press the SELECT button on the front panel to close the System Information screen.
7. Your Harmony remote should now control your Dish Network PVR/Satellite box

NOTE: Dish Network PVR/Satellite receivers sometimes have two tuners, allowing them to be used in more than one room on different TVs. Harmony remotes can only control a Dish Network receiver's main tuner while still in the same room with direct line of sight to the device.

What other issues are you having with the remote?

Need a remote for Symphonic tv

should be171,179 or 180 Turn on your TV.
On your Tune In remote, press TV and release.
Press and hold Set until the green light on Tune In blinks once, pauses and then blinks twice. Now release the Set key.
Enter the first three-digit TV code for your Symphonic from the list which follows:
171, 179, 180
These codes are listed in order of popularity, and the green light will blink twice if you perform this procedure correctly.
Aim Tune In at your TV and press Power. Your TV should turn off. If it does not, repeat steps 2-5, trying each code listed in step 4 until you find the one that operates your TV.
Now Test Your TV
Why test? Many times more than one code appears to work. Testing is desirable to be sure you have the correct code for your TV or the other devices you are setting up.

Press the Power key to turn on the TV, then press mute, channel scan ("CH") and volume ("VOL") keys. Tune channels 7 and 11 by entering the number followed by the Enter key.
If your TV does not pass the test, return to Step 2 at the top of this page. Enter the next three-digit code and repeat the process.

Harmony 659 won't learn samsung LN-52A850S1F remote

Samsung has recently acknowledged an issue with 8 series LCD TVs (e.g. LN52A860). When the TV is first turned on, it outputs strong IR interference which can render the Harmony unable to control your devices for several minutes. After the TV is warmed up, the interference dissipates and the Harmony will work correctly again.

To determine if your Samsung television is causing the issue:

1. Start an Activity that uses your Samsung TV
Confirm the Harmony is not controlling your devices
2. Completely cover the screen of your television with a blanket or dark colored sheet
3. Try changing the channel. If the device now responds, the television is interfering with your devices. Please contact Samsung for support

It is possible that by disabling certain features on your TV can also resolve the issue. Features that may cause interference with your remote include:

1. DNR/Active Control
2. Power Saving Mode

To disable either of these features, please consult the user manual for your TV.

Lost tv remote for magnavox dvd/vhs tv

Hello, follow this link to download the manual and the codes for your remotes:
just right click and save as on the download links.

if this does not work you can try the search method,
you do this by either holding down the device button eg: TV or if you have one the "magic" button for three seconds, a light should then flash twice to say you have done this correctly.
then press the keys 991 then the power button.
you must now press the channel up key (ch+) possibly upto 150 times while the remote cycles through every code.
Once your tv or device switches off stop pressing the ch+ key and press the power button to make sure it switches back on,
(if you press ch+ too many times you can go back by pressing ch-)
When complete press the magic or device key again to save the settings (light should flash twice to confirm)

Many thanks
