    Hi!

    Barker515 is right!

That mobo supports that cpu, you need to update the bios. I checked both at Asus site and AMD:s site.

So follow Barker515 advise and update the bios and you will get rid of your problem.

    Good luck

What is the highest Pentium D Processor that the revision of my motherboard (aad35788-305 cpu) will take?

http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/d101ggc/sb/CS-025906.htm?wapkw=d101ggc

With all due respect; You posted a link to CPU Support for that motherboard.

Intel D101GGC

Intel Pentium D, model 805; or Intel Pentium D, model 825?
See the BIOS Version?
0304 or higher.

See the BIOS Version listed for better Intel Pentium D CPU's?
0312 or higher.

Point?
BIOS upgrade to BIOS 0312, or higher.

Better than your Intel Pentium D, model 805 you have now?
The Intel Pentium D 820 uses the same BIOS revision.

Save not cmos on mainboard asus p4p800s-x chek batry&clear cmos but not resolv save not cmose

ASUS CrashFree BIOS2
The CrashFree BIOS 2 feature now includes the BIOS auto-recovery function in a support CD.
Users can reboot their system through the support CD when a bootable disk is not available, and go through the simple BIOS auto-recovery process. ASUS motherboards now enable users to enjoy this protection feature without the need to pay for an optional R
C.P.R.(CPU Parameter Recall)
When the system hangs due to overclocking failure, there is no need to open the case to clear CMOS data. Just simply restart the system, the BIOS would show the previous setting and then users can amend the CPU setting again.

ASUS EZ Flash
With ASUS EZ Flash, you can update BIOS before entering operating system. No more DOS-based flash utility and bootable diskette required.

hope this helps you

Problem with my Asus p5pe-vm motherbord. When i start it,the message CPU uCode loading error appears. What to do...HELPPPPPPP

If your over clocking your CPU settings reset to default. See if you still get the error. If you still get the error than update your bios. There are a couple of way to do this. You can use the software on your Asus CD or you can down load the latest BIOS-Utilities, Afudos BIOS update tool V2.36. Than download the bios file, P5PE-VM BIOS 1501.

Using built-in EZ Flash to flash BIOS Please be informed that not all motherboards support EZ Flash,
please use DOS flash utility to update BIOS if your motherboard does not support EZ Flash; http://support.asus.com/technicaldocuments/technicaldocuments.aspx?no=960&SLanguage=en-us

''unknown cpu detected, bios update is required to unleash its pow

Ensure that you download the BIOS update from the ASUS Website - nowhere else - and that it is for your exact motherboard model.

Instructions are here:

I am a bit surprised that they still require you to copy the files to a floppy/USB and boot into DOS. Last time I updated my Phoenix BIOS the utility ran from Windows. But anyway, that seems to still be the procedure for ASUS boards.
