Rapala, problem netting fish

I have a WII game called Rapala Tournament fishing. I can catch most fish, but the muskies, as i dont know what to do when the circle with the fish and net come up I am a bright person and have looked at all the instructions and studied the controller info, yet still to no prevail, I can not for the life of me figure out what to do when the red screen with the fish and net in it appears, please help. Whats more confusing to me is why Activision, the maker of the product does not include this info in the instructions, where is the leadership follow through on developing a cohesive item.

I don't have this game but I did some research on the internet and found a couple of things. One said to press A and then enter the numbers as shown on the screen. And I found this in another place. when the fish is at the boat, if it is 5 lbs or more you have to press a series of buttons as indicated above the circle. but first you have to get the net on the fish icon. Hope this helps !!
