Question about Pioneer AVIC-F900BT Car GPS Receiver

1 Answer

Pioneer f900 keeps rebooting, restarting every couple of minutes I have exactely the same problem in the UK, pioneer are claiming they have had no issues like this. The retailer are saying if i don't opt for a repair then theres nothing they can do as they have offered me a solution to my problem and i have refused it. I want my money back as this unit is clearly no good to me, i've read several forums discussing this problem and no one has got their units sorted! Have you got yours sorted and how do you suggest i get mine sorted as pioneer and the retailer Halfords UK arn't willing to do anything apart from offer a repair. steve

It sounds like it needs to be grounded a little bit better. I had that problem with mine and when I grounded it to the Battery it is fine now. Hope it helps you

I have done a hard reseet on my acer f900 now it shows arabic language!! can u help me to change it into english

TAP start- settings- system- regional settings( icon is earth)- locate English(ur country) in the search box- tap ok.

Next, TAP MULTILINGUAL SUPPORT( located near the regional settings, before the battery icon. Still the icon is earth but it has a somewhat ring figure)- locate your country. Then go to CONTROL tab located below<3rd tab>, unmark the first box then just below it, choose English with Arabic Enabled- tap ok.

Make sure to restart your handset. Long press the power button until it displays an icon that means do not turn off handset by removing the battery then if it's already off. wait for a couple of seconds, like 10seconds maybe then turn it on again.

I have a pioneer avic-f900bt and it keep turning off. it powers up for a couple of seconds and then it shuts off what could that be please help me.

I appear to have the same issue with mine. I purchased mine from Audio Itch in Tampa, Fl in December of 2008 and had them install it with an amp and speakers. Worked fine for almost exactly a year. Upon starting up my car, it powered up and gave the system powering up notice, then went blank. Rebooting with the small restart pinhole button sometimes works, but most of the time it will start powering up again, then shut off????

Pioneer TV External Tuner Problem

As you all know this is a very common problem. It is located in the two power boards inside the machine. These media receivers run really hot and the solder on these circuits boards crack, thus losing power when hot. Leave to cool and ok again. To fix you can remove these boards and touch each solder joint with a fine tip soldering iron until it becomes molten then move on to the next joint. Do all the joints, reassemble and presto, you should be back in business. These board are located between the on-off swith and the rear power input. It is a little fiddely, but if you halfway competant, then it shouldn't be a problem. I've done it a couple of times now, so if anybody feels a bit nervous, I'll do it for them for a small fee. contact glangford@tycoint.com
