Has it gotten wet or has there been moisture in the air, usually when the memory cards stopp workin they have gotten moisture in them or condisation and when plugged in, they fry....if you smaell it and it has a slight smell to it, like kooled metal, it's been cooked, this can also be true if you went to pick it up and zapped it, the static shoch can also fry it, if non of this has occured, take a clean paintbrush or a dry q-tip and wipe the conectors of, they could be dirty and not have a good connection, try this and hopefully it saves your memory card...good luck.....shia

My mad catz game cube 1x memory card wont work for wii and its telling me to format it. so i formatted it but when i went to play a game cube game on the wii it said the card was not formatted and the card...

I would try sticking it into a gamecube and formatting it in there then try using it again in the wii, make sure its in the slot thats on the same side of the system as the disc drive. If it still doesn't work the memory card may be corrupted or the battery is dead-some have one some don't.
Good luck and happy gaming!

How do you get the nitendo game cube to play on the wii

The Nintendo Wii already comes with everything needed to play GameCube. GameCube disks are loaded and unloaded from the system in the same way that Wii game disks are used. To play the games you are going to need a GameCube controller and a GameCube memory card to save progress. On the top of the system (if the system is vertical) or on the side (if it is laying down) are two flaps, one which opens to reveal the controller ports and the other reveals the slots for the memory cards. To play GameCube, simply select the top left square from the main menu (like you would for any Wii game), select start, and then use the GameCube controller to play the game.

Take the memory card out.

if you have a game cube test to see if it works on the game cube
insert the card in slot B

Wii memory card for gamecube

You need a Game Cube memory card to save Game Cube Data, it goes in on the left side of the Wii near the back by where controller 1 plugs in.

Want to travel to towns

If you are trying to transfer the gamecubes's memory card into the wii, that will not work; you will either have to get another game for the wii (and or gamecube) or have another memory card to go to another town.

I put a game cube game in to the wii and it says to insert a memory card into slot A so i put a 128mb memory card into slot A andi turn the wii on and it says no memory card found in slot A WHY?

It might be talking about the GameCube memory card slots, not the SD card slots. There should be a door on the top/left side of the WII. See if it's talking abou that.

Game Cube remotes for Wii

Hi, on the top of the Wii will be a hidden flap which conceals 4 gamecube controller ports. You will need to buy a memory card which there are two slots for that to store the games. Gamecube memory cards are quite cheap and you can pick them up for between £2 to £10. Hope that helps.
