Warranties vary from state to state and manufacturer to manufacturer. The warranty for your AC probably has fine print. I bet there is several things that the manufacturer does not cover even though another part was defective causing this cost. Some charge labor or like yours for recharging the system. It is a way the manufacturers make you think it's a warranty so it's free so you call them and they still make some money (my personal opinion). Car manufacturers are good at this. You might complain in writing to Samsung and they may reconcider and refund you. In writing is better than an e-mail. Be clear why and what you want (a refund as it was a part of the repair due to your defective part) and send a copy of the bill. They can be persuaded to do the right thing sometimes. I think you are right but warranties usually cover every aspect wether you read all that small print or not. Your state laws may help as they can override the MFG warranty giving you more rights to the repair costs. Good luck!
Hi, you are right, some companies will just replace your compressor, without charge once it's under guarantee, if they replace your compressor and want to charge you to refill your system, it's not fair, because they normally use a system to remove freon from a/c, clean it and reused back in a/c when they replace compressor, if they didn't replace compressor, they can't charge you for freon, because they didn't use , if your system had a leak, yes, they can charge you , for repair of leak, and refilling with freon. good luck.
It seems that you have a ballast issue, I've handled various ballast issues and when I purchase them i go with a company from San Diego, they got great prices and excellent service... they also give free troubleshooting, so they're good check em out if you like discount-merchant.com
Ok... you wrote "lock was all dry but after i charge the system it start leaking from the same place that the original was leaking,(center of ac compressure.)" Sounds like you should have 'OVER HAULED' the existing/used compressor before installing it... OR bought a recondition/new compressor (ya think?). It appears both the original and used compressors have the same defect.
If your unit is older the optical pick up lens may be dirty or has gone bad. Most Philips units are exchange items only, meaning they replace it under warranty instead of fixing it, if its out of warranty there usually are no parts or service information on them. Philips was bought be Funai and is not the company it used to be. Check if the unit will play a audio CD, if it does the pickup assembly is bad, some will play a CD but not a DVD. You may be able to clean the p/u lens with alcohol and a Q-tip. The lens is under the clamp that holds the disc while spinning.
call the company that installed the unit first. if they wont pony up any reputable hvac service company can honor the warranty. the manufacturer will give him a free compressor and you will have to pay him labor to install it.
It depends, why not try to ask the seller.
