My Janome hd1000 is not picking up the bobbin thread. Can you help

Be sure to use a brand new needle. If that does not resolve the issue, your machine probably has a needle/hook timing issue. There are many web sites & videos on sewing machine timing. Or take it for service.

My tension went out of sync now its not even picking the thread up

Try installing a brand new needle. Verify you are using the correct needle for your machine.

Remove the upper thread. Always raise the presser foot and rethread from the beginning. Make sure the threading path is correct.

Set the tension to the midway point between high & low numbers (this is usually the factory standard, although each machine may need a slight tweak and the type of fabric & thread may require a tension adjustment).

Check that the bobbin is inserted properly in the bobbin case and that the bobbin case is threaded correctly.

Retest your machine.

If it is still not picking up the bobbin thread, most likely there is a needle/hook timing issue. Take it for service.

My Janome machine is not connecting the bottom thread

Install a brand new needle (make sure it is installed correctly).
Remove the thread. RAISE the presser foot and rethread from the beginning making sure the thread path is correct.
Verify the bobbin has been inserted in the bobbin case correctly and the bobbin case has been threaded properly.
Have at least 4-6" of thread tail on both threads.
Retest.

If it is still not picking up the thread, then the needle/hook timing may be off and should be serviced by a technician.

Janome sew mini needle not picking up bobbin thread.

Hi: Is this a needle provided with the machine as new? What type of fabric are you sewing... have you tried a different fabric? Is the bobbin placed into the machine correctly with it unwinding in the right direction?

Janome 1600p-DBX is not taking the bobbin

have you checked to see if the needle is inserted correctly into
the needle clamp,,all the way up into the needle clamp
& that the needle is turned the right way
also check to make sure the bobbin is inserted correctly into the
bobbin case.
if you have checked for this then the following is possible
it's very possible that when you broke the needle that it caused
the machine to jump time, & it would have to be taken to a sewing
machine shop to be retimed.

Janome 9000 bobbin thread ends up on top of fabric

change the needle--
Correct needle insertion is mandatory for proper use of your sewing machine.
Raise the needle bar to the highest point, then loosen the needle clamp screw to remove the old needle.
Place the new needle in the needle clamp with the flat side of the needle facing the back, (round needle, the groove in the needle should face away from the shaft).
Push the needle all the way up as far as it will go. Then tighten the needle clamp screw.

rethread the top thread--top & bobbin
check the bobbin to make sure the bobbin is not damaged
reinsert the bobbin in the case correctly

Will not pick up bobbin thread

Unusual for this machine. Check to be sure the needle is inserted with the flat side to the back of the machine. If it is, remove the needle plate, bobbin and bobbin case. Turn the hand wheel slowly toward you and see if the point of the hook is above or below the eye of the needle when the hook point is aligned behind the needle. If the eye is above the point of the hook the machine is out of time and best taken to qualified technician.

Janome Memory Craft 9500 Troubleshooting

Have you tried a new needle?

If re-threading, changing the brand of thread, etc. does not work, then it's likely your machine is out of time. Search for sewing machine timing or take it for service.
