My television screen is magnifying and distorting on the left and right side and it did not do this until a day ago. This can not be normal. I have seen tv's in stores and this is not a quality they have. What can be done?

I can only get wide or zoom with the wide button on my remote, both of which are too large for my screen, I loose printed information on the top and bottom of my screen. I can not get normal or Panoramic screens that I used to.

The button on your remote labeled WIDE has ben puched. One of the options Vizio offers normal screen, wide screen, and the option your TV is in is Panoramic. Just puch this button until it says WIDE again.

From 1 to 10 ten been the best how good are this tv 55PP9363H/17 1 TOSHIBA 6211M15 1 SONY KFSOWE620 1 MAXENT MX26X3 1 SAMSUNG LN32BS40P8D 1 MAXENT MX26X3 1 MAXENT MX42XM11 1 SONY KDLS2VLISO...

The Samsung LN40B540P8F I would rate a 9. Only God is 10.

All the DLP sets, you can throw out

All the Older Projection sets you can throw out

I would take the rest for scrap parts.

I hope this is helpful.

My vizio 37" plasma tv has a green line running down the right side of the screen

Vizio does not make 37" plasma TV. for the green line problem, does it happen on all inputs or just when you what TV (cable or satellite)? That line should only be present on some channels due to signal processing compatibility. To get rid of it, you can use the horizontal size adjustment and expand the picture side way.

No picture or sound, light comes on in the front and have to unplug tv to turn it off.

I had this exact problem on my Vizio 47" HDTV. I removed the speakers and all the screws on the back cover. Took the cover off and located the fuses on the largest circuit board. The are in the upper right hand corner of the board. There are 3 of them in a row labeled LF 1.5, LF 3.0 and LF 3.0. The are white in color with copper ends. I took a volt meter and measured continuity across all fuses individually and found the LF 1.5 to be blown. The guy at the electronics store sold me a barrel 1.5A fuse and told me to soldier it across the top of the blown fuse. It took an extra set of hands but the TV works perfectly.

Your Lcd panel is beyond repair. It will have to be replaced and most likely will cost 3/4 the price of a new set.
