First: try using most recent drivers
second: if hat doesnt help, instruct vista not to power down that device to save energy. older drivers have trouble when the device goes down in vista

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Can't re-install 2Wire USB Wireless adapter

If you are on windows vista it could be your driver. You can go into safe mode on the computer with F8 while the computer is starting up, then go to the control panel and device manager. Plug the adapter in and remove the driver for it. Download a new driver at http://support.2wire.com/index.php?page=download and install it.

Usb 2wireless adapter keep losing sigal

If your computer keeps losing the signal, you need to either change the wireless channel or boost your wireless power on your router. Sometimes even a combination of both is needed so you stop losing signal.

2wire pc adapter

If you go to the 2Wire site you will see that only 3 of the seven adapter products listed there have Vista drivers.

If you have one of the Vista supported products, make sure you have the Vista driver.

If you do not, get one that is.
