Question about IBM ThinkPad T43 Notebook
I own a IBM T43 Laptop. Decided to upgrade from a 40G HD to 160G HD. Was able to install OS, drivers, etc. At boot I keep getting an Error 2010 stating: Warning: Your internal hard disk drive (HDD) may not function correctly on this system. Ensure that your HDD is supported on this system and that the latest HDD firmware is installed. Esc seems to load the OS with no problem.
So I downloaded the firmware utility from IBM site and created an ISO disk to use at boot, The main problem is that I can't access the bios without a password which I never even created. Somehow the bios automatically set one. I never had problems entering the 40G HD bios before. Only till after the upgrade this occurred.
I have a WD2500BEVE (western digital 250 Gb) installed on my T43 2668 - CTO. Vista also installed all drivers prsent. Latest BIOS etc also installed. Unfortunately on booting the bios brings me the infamous error message 2010. The laptop boots alright and works but it is a little slow on the start up. How can I solve this ?? cheers Chris
