Hard to boot

I'm having problem with my intel desktop boards 4 of them are hard to boot all leds are on cpu is running no beeps but no video output on the screen after several restart on the computer the computer will run smoothly help.tnx

Try to renew the power supply, with one you know is working.
I think that`s the problem.

The problem could ofcourse also be the mainboard itselves failing.
There is not much to do about that, other than renew the mainboard or buy a new pc.

I am using a intel Dh61ww board with intel i3 2100 processor. When i switch on the pc the cpu fan rotates and halts.no display. pls help me.


The steps I would take would be : 1 make sure you have a power supply with the proper power connections and at least 500 Watts 2 remove and reset the power connections, try to boot 3 disconnect all hard drives and cd/dvd's, try to boot 4 remove all ram/memory sticks, try to boot and listen for the beep or beeps if it doesn't beep and still shuts off, you have a bad motherboard and/or cpu if it does beep, you need to try different ram

I have a Sunblade 1500, recently it just stop working. The power led is on but no output in the monitor. It supposed to beep onces to notify the user that the sytem is coming up, but no beep can be heard....


Is it possible to try the monitor on another computer? If so try that. I've worked with motherboards that don't give a power up beep code (strange, I know), so after the checking the monitor, I would try removing and re-seating the video card, and memory, one at a time and see what happens. Is the cpu fan running? Check these things out. Is there onboard, integrated video in addition to the graphics card? If so, try using the integrated video port. If the cpu fan is running, and the power led and hard drive leds are working, then it's a safe bet it's not your power supply. It would have to be the video card, in my opinion .

Building desktop: no beeps, no video The mobo LED are on, fan is running but getting no signal to monitor. I've tested the video card in another pc and confirmed working. The only time the mobo beeps...


If the cpu was bad- nothing would turn on--be sure the cable is good-- also be sure the VGA is enabled in the bios- since you cant see the video you have to reset the cmos setting--unplug the unit and remove the cmos battery-reinstall after one minute and check for video

when you say cannot turn on cpu - what do you mean - ?
cannot boot up?
try removing the cmos battery for a minute then replace and try again.

any error beeps ?

Intel PENTIUM 4 865GV MOTHER BOARD doesn't give diplay


check whether with out display if any beeping sounds are coming and hard disks are running. if possible try to place a video card and then check the output.

remove ram memory - it should beep when you switch it on - if no beep then check CPU in socket and cpu fan spinning when on.

if you have changed the monitor and the same no signal have you noticed a beep sound? or can you see the green and red light in front of cpu? if both of this doesn't light it's power supply and if there are led lights (green&red) lighting but there is a continous beep sound the problem is the on board video card. if a sound short beep, beep the problem is your memory card.
