Being left open can let lots of moisture in that can freeze up the air circulation paths. First thing is to leave it off and unplugged for a couple days to melt any hidden ice build up from being open all night. Then start it up like normal and see if it works properly. If not then repost and we'll go from there.

SOURCE: Sanyo mini refridgerator won't get cold

This sounds to me like your fridge might be in defrost mode. There should be a switch up toward the top of the fridge near the cold setting. It's not always very visible, but feel around for a little round hole. There should be a small, plastic rod sticking out. Push it back in. (If it's out.) If this is the problem, you should hear the compressor turn on and the fridge should start cooling off again. If you still have the owners manual, it'll probably point you to its exact location.

I hope this helps! :)

clean the accumulated dust from under the fridge. The fridge doesnt get cold enough, the freezer gets too cold, it needs air to pass through, grab the dust, or vacuum so that air can pass across the coils

The fridge seems to be working from the outside until you open the doors and its not cold anymore, there seems to be a little frost at the back of the freezer side but all food has defrosted.

Check the coils in the rear of the unit. They must be clean or dust will act as insulation, the freon won't be able to transform into gas & do its job of taking warm air out of fridge. Inspect area around fridge, there should be at least 2" on sides & enough space on top so hot air from coils can escape. Maybe compressor is not working properly. If unit is over 5 years old, overheating the coils will ruin the compressor.

I have a Whirlpool ED5FHGXNQ00 side by side.for a while it started to show signs of warming up in the fridge side.i noticed the dust built up underneath on the coils and cleaned it.i left it of*** night to defrost.have not plugged it back in yet.but in the freezer behind the panel there was ice build up to the right of the evaporator fan on the plastic scroll.i cleaned that upturned it on and noticed that there was very little air coming through the top air scoop vent in the fridge side.when I open the freezer door it allows more air though(probably to compensate).anyway I read alot on this issue and some say it's the defrost timer boardsome thermostat.the compressor stays pretty hotbut the freezer works fine.please help.

American fridge/freezer - fridge stopped cooling, freezer side ok

Have you pulled out the refrigerator and cleaned or used a vacum cleaner to get out the dirt and dust off the back of the coils, or if the coils are underneath, you need to get an inexpensive appliance brush for fridge, and clean the coils under the fridge, pull off the panel on the front bottom of the fridge, get a flash light and look to see if the coils are covered in dust....may just need to vacum and use appliance brush underneath...this should be done at least one a year, you will notice your fridge running much better and cooling back to normal.......hope this helps......

The contents does not get cold even when the fridge runs in my Frigidaire FRTS5A

You could have a bad thermostat or the refrigerator could be low on Freon, make sure you clean off the exposed coils on the back of the fridge and underneath to free it from dust and dirt – use some type of a blower for underneath and the coils you can vacuum off or wipe off the coils, if not call a service tech to have a look @ the refrigerator – it might have a bad compressor
