Do you feel a warm sensation if you put your hand inside the unit?if no,then the heater is busted.do you hear a sound like a fan or feel airflow inside the unit?if still no, bring it to a tech.

Flood switch 920 model

Not sure what the actual model number is but usually the F1 error with Fisher and Paykel dishwasher means water has entered the flood switch located at the base. This could be due to leaky hoses or water leaking through the door or lid seal. Wait for a day or two until the water evaporates and try again. Otherwise you will have to dry out the flood switch and then try again. Location of flood switch will depend on your model. For double drawer dishwasher you will have to take the bottom drawer out from the housing and the switch is on the floor of housing. But make sure you take the mains power chord out before touching the insides of dishwasher. Will also need to find the cause of the leak. Other reason for F1 could be loss of power to top dishdrawer if you have double drawer. But in that case the top drawer will have no lights on. The power board is located on the base of housing under bottom drawer. Once again do not touch inside of dishwasher without shutting off mains power.

DD603 was showing F1 error and motor was whirring away, put off an electrical burning smell then popped circuit breaker for kitchen. Now when turned on bottom drawer lights up, no life from top drawer then...

Hi mate - usually F1 codes on the dish drawers are leak related - its possible you had a leak and some components burnt as a result..

Control boards are located inside the door panels, the rotor in the mid of the washer are removed from the inside, I forgotten how to remove the cabinet drawer, only ever done 1 some 10yrs back - under the drawers are your heater elements and the motor stator (windings).

Its possible the motor have piked due to leaks - really have to dismantle it first before you can decide which way to go.

Sorry cannot offer more for now, copyright laws prevent me from showing you a cross section of the unit.

I will keep an eye on your progress...

F1 code how to fix and re-set

Is this happening with both drawers or just one.

You have water leaking into the base of the dishwasher under the drawer.

Most likely the drawer seal is leaking.

The flood switch is located at the base of the dishwasher and this needs to be dried.

Turn power off and take the bottom drawer out. Dry base with towels and hair dryer. Turn power back on without putting the drawer back.

Run top drawer to see if any water is leaking.

Water leaks can be due to faulty seal or drain hoses cracked.

Hope you are able to fix it.

Why does it continously beep? Why is it starting up by itself? Even after turning off? When you open the door it shows a light on rinse, when it was set on normal.

Not sure if your dishwasher problem has been fixed yet.

The continous beep and the rinse light on means the flood switch in your single drawer built in dishwasher has come on.

There is water leak inside the housing under the drawer. Turn the power off at the mains breaker and pull the drawer out as much as possible. Get a few towels and dry out the bottom of the dishwasher under the drawer. Use hair dryer if well.
Turn the power back on and see if the problem disappears. Sometime too much foam in detergent can also cause it but mostly it can be due to drain hose been kinked or gasket leaking.

Post a comment to let me know what you find.

Dishdrawers just started flashing F1. What do I do?

Looks like the flood switch at the base of the dishwashwer has actuated. This is likely to have been caused by moisture collecting at the base under the bottom drawer.

Try to extend out the bottom drawer as much as possible to expose the back part of the base. Turn off the power. Use towels and hair dryer to dry the base and switch on. If still not ok then you may have to take out the bottom drawer and dry out the base.

the likely causes are - too much foam in detergent, a kink or crack in the water hose or a broken actuator arm that supports the water hoses when the drawers are pulled out and in.

Hope this helps.

Hi Both drawers show error F1 flashing beeping with rinse light on and both pumps run after power is applied to machine

F1 error indicates flood switch in base has activated, meaning machine has leaked. This causes machine to drain continously, and can only be stopped by switching off power. Not easy to fix if you don't have experience- bottom drawer has to be removed to access flood switch, then machine needs to be test run and checked for leaks. Best to call the professionals!!
