Re: Reseting blackjack II
Hi. Yes, in case of a hard reset, all your personal data (contacts, appointments, tasks, softwares installed, .. , except the data in your SD card) will be erased, and your device will be reseted to its factory default settings. But if you want to do a hard reset, you can backup your device's data using a third party software, and you can do a hard reset by following these steps: Turn Phone off. Hold directional pad UP while turning the phone back on. Follow directions on screen. Hope this helps.

IT sounds like a software glitch.
the phone will most likely need a hard reset to repair it.
Sadly this will delete all of the personal data on your phone, and reset the phone to its factory defaults.
To perform a manual Hard Reset, press the Up Navigation key and the (Power) key.
If I were you I would send the phone back to the seller and demand a refund. You say the seller said it was unused and new? In that case, if there is numbers on the phone then it was opened and used, i woulb contat the seller and get my money back, ether that or tell him to send you a new Blackjack II, unopened and unused!!
if you are worried about losing everything on your phone just sync it up with your computer and it will save all your contacts and pictures/music so after the reset you can put them back on your phone.
If you haven't already tried it, you may want to try a hard reset. (Warning: the hard reset process will erase all content and settings that you've added to or created on the phone.)
Hard Reset for BlackJack II:
1) Power off the BlackJack II
2) Hold the UP button on the directional pad
3) While holding the UP button, press and hold the Power button
4) When prompted, press the 1 (or 'E') key to continue
5) When prompted, press the 'Y' key to confirm
If this doesn't resolve the audio issue it's probably microphone related and you'll probably want to research replacement options.
