Question about Minolta magicolor 2400W Laser Printer

1 Answer

Installing new black print cartridge

I'vr read the manual, the cartridge instructions and on line.  All say to rotate the cartridges until the one I want is visible and can be extracted to replace the one I need. I've tried this and the black cartridge never becomes available to replace. The only one that lifts out easily is the one with the green handle. None of the cartridges seem to rotate, however I hear the workings. I can't find the black cartridge already in the printer. How do I locate it, pull it out and insert a replacement. I don;t want to force anything for fear of breaking the machine.

Manually Removing Toner for magicolor 2400W

1.  Hold down the Cancel button for 10 seconds or longer.

2.  With the Cancel button still held down, also simultaneously hold down the Rotate Toner button for 10 seconds or longer.

3.  When all LED indicators are blinking rapidly, release both the Cancel and Rotate Toner buttons.

4.  Then hold down the Rotate Toner button again for another 10 seconds or longer.

5.  The Cyan toner cartridge moves into the proper position, so it can be removed.

6.  Remove and/or replace the Toner Cartridge if necessary.

7.  Open and close the covers. Each time you do this, another toner cartridge moves into the proper position, so it can be removed and/or replaced (in this order: cyan, black, yellow, magenta).

I bought a new ink cartridge, but cannot find my manual. How do you change the cartridge???

Changing an HP Ink Cartridge
  • 1

Open the lid of the printer. Depending on the model, there will be two cartridges on the right, one for black and one for color.

  • 2

Find the cartridge that is running low on ink. The black cartridge will be in black, the color cartridge will have a patch of color (usually green) on it.

  • 3

Pull down on the black clamp that is holding the cartridge in place and slide out the used cartridge.

  • 4

Open the package of the new ink cartridge. Remove the protective tape and slide the new cartridge into the printer.

  • 5

Snap the black protective case back into place and close the lid.

to complete the alignment it needs to detect the lines printed from both the black and colour cartridges.maybe ur black cartridge is printing the necessary pattern but the colour is not printing so when it tries to read the colour paattern ,it cant read and cancels the alignment and ejects the paper out..it will keep on doing this if it cannot read the both colour and black patterns.see to it that both ur cartridges are printing and working properly.

Did you try both cartridges? Sometimes a fried circuit on the color cartridge will cause a out of ink on the black even when the black is new. Double check that you are using the correct cartridge for the printer. and look at the copper/gold contacts in the printer where the cartridge goes. look for dried ink or tears. Clean with a Q-tip dipped in water. CAREFULLY. If it's torn.... enjoy your trip to walmart.
