SOURCE: No wireing harness

Ok everyone,

If your looking for an answer for this I hope this helps.

The connector on the back of the Duraband receiver is the same design as the connector used on
most computer power supply connectors for the motherboard.

You can cut off the old connector for the PC power supply, and then cut off as many extra pins as
needed so it will fit into the back of the receiver.

Only thing is you will need to re-label each wire according to your old harness that may be damaged.
If ANYONE has the existing harness, and would like to tell us which pin goes to which color, this would be great. Most of the receivers have a color code on the case bottom, but it doesn't identify which color corresponds to which pin... please help...

SOURCE: Need wiring harness color coded diagram for pioneer dehp6800mp.

Hello randscates,

Here's a link to the manual. The wiring color code for the supplied harness is on page 78. The diagram is rotated 90 degrees clockwise. I recommend that you download the PDF and print out the page you need.

Hope this helps.

Difficulty wiring into GM harness

well if your trying to actively wire it up with the car battery still connected that is why you are blowing fuses. just a heads up too if you have a live connection while hooking up the cd player you could short out other electrical devices and you could be in alot more trouble thatn just blowing fuses. the black wire is what is blowing fuses its because you have it hooked up wrong to a wire that is sending voltage not recieving voltage. ground the black wire to the actual chassis instead of hooking it to the ground wire from the harness or whatever color its grounded to which shouldnt be anything but black if you have the black wire hooked up to ANYTHING that isnt black that is why you are popping fuses. so hook up the red yellow and make your own ground you shouldnt have any problems after that.

WIRING CHANGE FOR 2002 DODGE CARAVAN

Your best bet on that one is to go to a place that sells car audio systems or even some autoparts retailers have them, and get the proper adapter harness already made up. A few more dollars but, a whole lot less headaches.

Wiring/Installation of Pioneer CD Player

You need to get an installation kit that also has the universal wiring harness to connect to the factory harness in the car. That way you only need to match the wire colors of the Pioneer harness to the wire colors of the universal harness and made good connections and insulate those connections. Then the Pioneer harness plugs into the Pioneer radio and the universal harness plugs into the factory harness in the car.

Let me know if this helps, or if you need more help.
