Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Almost always, there would be a yellow RCA female jack at the rear of the receiver that is marked "VIDEO OUT". With an RCA to RCA cable, connect this VIDEO OUT to a composite "VIDEO IN" of the TV. The TV must then be set to display AUX / LINE / VIDEO 1 / AV.

Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.

ON SCREEN HAD POWER ONLY V8.02.8

FOLLOW this instruction and fix it. God bless you
·
Connect the component video, HDMI1 or AV1 cable from the component device (such a DVD player) to the appropriate input port on the TV. This port may say "Video IN" on the back of the TV. Ensure that the cable is connected securely at both ends.
· 2
Use the remote control's device button(s) to access the menu and select the input through the menu that matches the type of cable input connected to the back of the TV. For example, if you connect the cable to the HDMI1 input port on the back of the TV, selecting anything but the HDMI1 option with the remote control may cause the "No Display" message to appear, which usually means that the TV is not receiving a signal at the connection input you have selected.
·

· 3 Turn the power on to the component you want to view. If the power was off, turning it on will activate the display and replace the "No Display" message.
· 4
Test any other connected components at their selected inputs to see that the TV is receiving the video signal properly from those sources.
· 5
Check with your cable or satellite provider if their set-top box is the source of the "No Display" message and is powered on, to see if the problem is caused by a disruption in their service. If using an antenna, adjust the antenna and re-scan for available channels.

RE: Denon AVR 3300 - I cannot get the system setup menu to display on Phillips P50PFP5332D tv screen? All connected components work and sound great, but I cannot see Denon's Setup menu on tv to a

I understand, it's something I've misunderstood on my denon avr-790 as well when connected to a samsung 8000 series led tv.
The answer isn't in the receiver's settings (you can be on whatever source you want on the receiver end when toggling the menu). You need to toggle through the tv's sources to find the menu (usually found on hdmi 1). I've spent towards an hour recently troubleshooting only to find that it was the tv's source that wasn't set properly and I was trying to change the receiver's settings instead of the tv's source.
Hope that helps!

I am unable to get my TV to display the Denon setup menu. I tried calling Denon, and we then verified all my connections. Still no luck. WTFO?

The most basic On Screen Display:

You run a single RCA-type cable from Monitor Out to any available Video Input on the TV and select that input at the TV.

Sling Box Pro - No network light, No light in logo, only power light on. Therefore won't connect to network. Was working fine. Tried reset button and also power off/on. Only the red power light is on.

If you are getting a light on the Sling Box indicating that it is connected and powered on, you may check your Internet connection to the receiver to make sure you are actually connected.

You can check you Internet connection on your receiver by pressing the Menu button on your remote. This will display the Main Menu on your TV screen. Press 6 (System Setup), 1 (Installation), and 9 (Broadband Setup). Once you are on the Broadband Setup screen, press 1 (Network Setup). An IP address should display on the Network Setup screen. You can also run a connection test on your receiver. If you continue to have problems connecting, you can give Sling Box a call to troubleshoot the Sling Box. Here is a link: http://support.slingbox.com/go/home. I hope this helps.

Can't get EPG to display after set up

johnandja460

You haven't specified which type equipment you are experiencing the problem. With our DISH Network receivers, if the EPG does not display you can do 1 of 2 things. First, unplug the receiver from the electrical outlet for 10 seconds and plug back in. This causes the receiver to reboot and re-acquire satellite signal. Then it will download the EPG.

If you still don't have the EPG, you can then run a check switch test. Press the Menu button on the remote. Main Menu will display on the TV screen. Press 6 (System Setup), 1 (Installation), and 1 (Point Dish) on the number pad. Highlight the Check Switch button on the right of the screen and press select. On the Installation Summary screen, highlight the Test button on the bottom left. Press select. The receiver will perform a switch installation check. After the test is completed, exit out of all screens till you are back to the TV screen. The receiver will acquire satellite signal and download the EPG. I hope this helps.

No video to tv or computer screen how to get it to display for menu set up?

Hello,
Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} "Traditional Cables", are you refer to the red, white, and yellow cables?
Once you connected those from Cd/DVD to the receiver, did you then connect another yellow cable from the "monitor out" on the receiver, to an input on your television?
This is generally the step that people forget about.
The back of your receiver should have a "monitor" or "tv" output on it. You need to connect another yellow cable from it to an input on your TV, then turn your TV to that specific input.

That should do the trick.

I used to get OSD on the TV with my receiver, but it has gone and I don't know what setting to do to get it back. It is a Pioneer VSX-917V-s/-K. Thanks

did you happen to change to cable connecting the Reciever to the TV to an HDMI?

please note that the OSD will not appear if you have connected using the HDMI output to your TV.
Use component, S-video or composite connections for system setup.

OSD for NAD T752

The blue screen indicates a proper connection (signal received by the monitor). Try selecting "amp" on your HTR 2 remote then use any directional button at the center of the remote, the keys which circle the "Enter" button. Hopefully you will then see the menu appear. Use the same directional keys to navigate the menus.
