Mic is not recognized

Just had the same problem occur on a laptop with same mic. Did the exact same thing yours did, I turned the mic boost on and ran the hardware test three or four times and it finally picked it up. Hope this helps.

Go to your control panel (vista users) and find the Speech Recognition Option, it wil have you recite a sentence and after that it sound configure your mic to your computer. I was having this same issue for about a week untill i decided to figure out wth was going on. I did this this morning now both my headphones and my mic work. I hope this helps :D
