Question about Philips Magnavox MDV530R DVD VCR

1 Answer

I can't setup channels for Magnavox tv/vcr.

I inheirited a 1991 magnavox tv/vcr combo with no owner manuel. It works but I can't setup tv channels. The model is CRMO91AT01 and serial number is 83010910. There is a remote which works. Any ideas as to how I setup the channels or where I can get a manuel will be appreciated. I just hooked up my magnavox vcr, I went to menu but there is no place to put the channel that I want to record.

I lost the manual to the magnavox dvd/vcr dual player so i dont know how to set it up. so i can watch dvds and vcr tapes.

The easiest way to hook up the combo is to use the cable in and out to tv connectors located in the rear. for this connection you will hgave to set the TV to Channel 3 or 4. You can usually download an owners manual from magnavox.com, you will need a model number.

Need the remote code for a phillips dvd player

These are the codes printed in the owners manual for your dvd/vcr player. If they do not work you will have to contact Emerson and ask them for help getting the code. The contact number should have come with the instructions for the remote. Just give them the model number of you remote and the units model number and they should be able to help you. I hope this information helps you with your problem. Switch the input selector on your TV to an appropriate external input channel (usually near channel 0).
Press a button on the TV’s original remote control that selects an external input channel until the DVD
recorder’s picture appears. Check your TV owner’s manual for details.

you'll need to bring up the menu, under "channels" or "set-up" you will find something called autotune (or manual channel set-up). it will automatically set the channels you pick up.

Smart lock access code on tv

A model number for your Magnavox TV would be helpful because the Parental Control Reset procedure varies. There should be a sticker on the back of the TV showing the model number. If you have a newer LCD model, the unlock code is usually 0711. Ignore any "Incorrect" warning and enter 0711 again. Then set or clear the Parental Access Code.
