Question about Samsung HT-TX72 Theater System
It says "protection" then it shuts down. I turn it on then in a few minutes it shuts down again. Need help Hi: I am having the same problem as many of the owners of the Samsung HTS (HT TX75.) The player shuts down in the middle of a movie and and continues to shutdown ever few minutes thereafter. Can you help? I have the same problem. At first I thought It was on the sleep timer. but after looking in the book and trying to reset it, nothing worked..... IM TIRED OF THIS STUPID THING.
Protection error message means that your unit's fan is not working
it is a feature to keep your unit from overheating
check if there is anything blocking the fan of your unit from rotating
if problem still persist replace the fan

I had ths problem and I just solved it.
1. open the DVD player box.
2. check the fan
3. unplug it and replug it
4. if it doesn't work just press the center of the fan where there is a white and blue sticker.
5. plug the dvd player and after a while, the fan should start to turn
