At this point you can test SMS messaging by sending yourself a text message, or continue with other setup of the phone. The next sections will show you how to set up MMS messaging as well as an internet connection if you are paying for T-Mobile?s internet access services. One note about internet services, as a T-Mobileweb customer you can get full access to anywhere on the internet if you install & use a Java based web browser such as Opera Mini instead of the internal browser of the phone, and as of this writing you don?t need to be on their much more expensive internet plan, the simple $5.99 T-MobileWeb plan will work! You can get Opera Mini here => MASTER Download List Our next step will be to set up the data connections you will need to use. If you are not going to use the internet or will only be accessing T-Mobile?s T-Zones, then you only need to set up the first data account service we will name T-Mo MMS, otherwise if you want to access the full experience of the internet, please set up both data account service connections outlined in the next section. Don?t worry if at any time you exit from one of the menus and find yourself back at the slidelock screen, simply just slide unlock the phone and continue from where you last left off! You can continue to tap the Back button on the bottom of the screen until you exit out of all the menus to the main screen, or simply press the On/Off button once to get back to the main screen. At this point you can test MMS messaging by sending yourself a picture message. Internet Access: If all you want to use for internet surfing is the phone?s built-in browser, and you have set up the data account service for the internet in the earlier setup, then you are ready to surf the internet by simply tapping on Service from the main menu. Then tapping on WAP and using the various options to navigate the internet like Homepage, Input address, etc. However, this won?t provide as robust an internet experience as a Java based internet program such as Opera Mini 3.1 or 4.1, or another java based internet browser. If you do decide to install a Java program for browsing the internet, there is one more setting which must be changed prior to using the Java internet browser. Java Internet Settings: 1.) From the main menu tap on the Java icon. 2.) Tap Java settings from the Java menu. 3.) Scroll down and tap the area just below Java SIM1 (SIM2) profile, which ever SIM you are currently setting up. 4.) Use the arrows to scroll the setting until T-Zones appears in the box. 5.) Tap the OK button at the bottom of the screen. Now you should be completely set up for SMS, MMS, as well for internet on the T-Mobile network if you have a T-Mobile internet plan!

You need to configure the GPRS service manually in your system settings.

Find an Sciphone i68 user manual at http://chinamanuals.com including network settings for major providers (also T-Mobile)

I have a sciphone 168 and when i am trying to use theinternet it says gprs not subscribed. i am on orange and cant find a way round this

If you have the correct Orange wap set up, then it's your SIM card, you need to call your wireless provider and they will fix this matter in their server. I have a T-Mobile sim card and my i68+ have the correct GPRS settings and I can't get in the internet, but I borrowed another T-Mobile SIM card with unlimited internet and place it in my i68+ phone and it worked. So it's most probably the SIM card IF the GPRS settings in your phone are correct.

Internet not working

GPRS: general packet radio service (that's the net in your mobile)
Your GPRS is not subscribed and it needs to be subscribed.

-- Call your service provide (Orange), and ask them to give you info of subscribing GPRS service.

As much as I know... Subscribing to GPRS is free, but the usage charge will be there.

I have a Problem with my sciphone it tellsme GPrs Not subscribed

These cect i68 sciphones are not GPRS compatible, they are GSM compatible, that means that when you want to get onto the internet you have to dial a network phone number. speak to your network supplier and ask them for the GSM telephone number then set that up in the wap gsm settings area in the phone menu.
