New hard drive installed..no dvd rom drivers ? can't get World of Warcraft to install

did you double-check the jumper for master/slave/cableselect. you may see the new drive, but if you set to 'master", you may have negated the cd/dvd drive. (assuming it needed to be CS-cableselect).

did you swap the hard drive and use an imaging/cloning tool? or did you install the OS from scratch? what OS?

How do i install this drive?

Unplug the power cable from your power supply and open up your computer Don't forget to wear your antistatic wrist band. Determine which drive bay you are going to install a CD-ROM into. You should pick on of the uppermost drive bays. Before you install a CD-ROM, make sure you have the proper jumper settings. Since we are only installing a single CD-ROM, set the jumpers as MASTER. The jumper settings are different for each CD-ROM drive, so consult your owner's manual so you know which pins to cover up. Once you have the jumpers set, install your CD-ROM in the computer's case. How you secure the CD-ROM in one of the uppermost drive bays depends on your case. Some CD-ROM drives have to be screwed into the drive bay, while other cases come with brackets (like mine) to attach to the CD-ROM drive so that it slides into the drive bay and locks in place.

Connect the power to the back of the CD-ROM drive, then connect the ribbon cable to the back of the CD-ROM drive. Your ribbon cable has three connectors, one in the middle and one on each end. The middle connector is a "SLAVE" connector that is used if you would install an additional CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive.
Connect one of the end connectors to the CD-ROM drive, and connect the other end connector to the appropriate spot on your motherboard. Note, hard drives and CD-ROM drives have the same style of connector on the motherboard. You want to connect your CD-ROM drive to the motherboard slot that isn't red or is the highest numbered of all the IDE slots.

Power on your computer after you plug it in. Your computer should recognize the new CD-ROM. If it doesn't, Click start control panel administrive tools, computer management, device manager scroll down cd-dvd rom drives you might see a yellow question mark ? right click to update driver, roll back driver,or select properties general troubleshoot, select driver click to reinstall drivers click update driver
Hope this helps

Yes, your system has way more than the system requirements for the game:
- Intel Pentium 4 1.3 GHz or AMD Athlon XP 1500+
- 1 GB or more of RAM
- NVIDIA® GeForce® FX or ATI Radeon™ 9500 video card or better
- 25.0 GB available HD space

- Broadband Internet connection

Graphics lagging, stuttering in world of warcraft

Try this once
World of Warcraft System Requirements
The World of Warcraft system requirements are impressive. World of Warcraft requires a large amount of memory, hard drive space and, above all, a solid
internet connection.
For a Windows system, the minimum World of Warcraft system requirements are as follows:
- Intel Pentium III 800 MHz or AMD Athlon 800 MHz processor
- at least 512 MB of RAM,
- 32 MB graphics card,
- DirectX 9.0,
- 6.0 GB of hard drive space
- 4x CD-ROM
- 56k internet connection.
However, the recommended World of Warcraft system requirements are substantially higher:
- Intel Pentium IV 1.5 GHz or AMD XP 1500+ MHz processor
- 1024 MB of RAM
- 64 MB 3D graphics card
- broadband internet connection
- A two-button, scroll-wheel mouse is also recommended.
Millions of players connect daily to the World of Warcraft servers, and the amount of information being transferred from any one computer to the main terminals is enormous. But with all of these numbers and with all of these devices, frequent gamers know they will need to go above the minimal system requirements to experience the game fully. The minimal World of Warcraft system requirements only guarantee the game to run; they do not guarantee the game to run in a playable fashion.
There are some other known issues to keep in mind
- Some video cards may experience problems displaying certain textural effects while playing. Graphic issues may include colors shimmering across static textures, textures that appear solid green or white, and patches of texture or even geometry that are invisible.
- World of Warcraft/Burning Crusade requires the latest version of DirectX.
- Also, it is important that your video drivers are up-to-date and compatible with the latest version of DirectX. Outdated or incompatible video drivers can cause a variety of video and game play issues.
Something else you should keep in mind is that World of Warcraft had multiple expansion packs and down-loadable patches and these are also a factor into the World of Warcraft system requirements. Overtime, the specifications have shifted, and will keep shifting in the future; what was once acceptable to run the original game is no longer adequate for some expansions and patches. This will force players to upgrade their computers, if they wish to run the latest versions of the game. Gamers really have no choice; in order to compete, they must have the latest World of Warcraft software and a system that meets at least the recommended requirements; otherwise, you will keep stumbling around.

Installing Vista on new hard drive- CD/DVD Driver not found

Are you installing from the SONY-supplied "System Restore" CD/DVD disks, or from a "generic" Vista DVD-ROM?

The SONY disks _should_ have the correct drivers for your notebook computer.

I can't download a world of warcraft game cause it says not

Go to control panel, add/remove programs and remove all programs that you do not use, such as free trials, etc. Once you have removed them, reboot computer and you should be good to go. You need to free up space on your hard drive to install additional software and this is the easiest way to do it. You can see how much space is on your hard drive by going to my computer and right clicking on C: and then choosing properties. The picture will tell you how much space is being used. If you have allot of music on your computer, you can burn them to CD and then delete from computer as these hog allot of space on computer.

I have a game called world of warcraft when i put the disc in nothing happens you need 20g and i have 37g wats the problem.

Go to "my computer"
In there you will see an icon at the cd-rom drive for WOW.
(WOW = World of Warcraft)
Double click on that Icon
This will start the installer.
If you do not see an icon take out the CD and clean the drive and look at the CD or significant scratches. Little ones are okay.

My Computer Wont Read DvD's or CDs!

Is the CD drive display in my computer? yes

then clean up your CD/DVD rom for there is dust in it, specially on the lazer lens that let the rom read the CD/DVD.

If no, then; Fix some cable connection towards your CD/DVD rom for it was lessen.

If not fix the problem verify the disc if it is readble by your Rom. Please try another disc in your Rom.

if same happen, then maybe its time for a new CD/DVD ROM.

one last try:

try your new purcahse disc in another computer that is compatible with your disc.
