When I try to put the barrel back onto the part (#12) the round shaft (#32) is already in there...not attatched to the back of the barrel. How do I get that piece out of #13 so I can replace/grease it and reassemble. From what I can see that #32 is very difficult to take out...the screws are very hard to get at.

model # FDE558GHS0. I can't put the belt back on until I get that#32 out of #13 and then reattatch #32 to the back of the barrel.

Model #?
If this is a standard dryer with the idler pulley, place the pulley into the slots to the left of the motor pulley. Bring the belt through the idler so it is running on the flat side of the belt and place the belt around the motor. The idler should be placing down pressure on the belt keeping it tight. make sure there are no twists all the way around the drum or it will pop off.

Belt come off! Need access

depending on the way the dryer is built you may need to take the dyer's top panel off then the front panel of the dryer to get to the internals while laying the dryer on its back to make it more easy to put the dryer back together when done if the belt however has snapped you can actually buy belts for the dryer you own er....one more thing make sure its unplugged before doing any of this but while its apart take your time to clean the dryer out with compressed air this will prolong the life of the dryer you own as well all dyers are easy to take apart and put back together as everything just snaps into place or screws back into place (PS: i worked on a LG TROMM dryer and it was easy as pie to put back together after cleaning and diagnosing it)

I have a roper dryer. I took it apart today

Remove all duct work connected to this dryer. Clean thoroughly. You will find amass of lint inside of it causing your problem. If not the moister sensor is not working properly and needs to be replaced.
I do hope you will find a clogged vent tube for it is easier to clean the tube than to replace the sensor. The sensor is a fail safe part. It keeps the dryer from catching on fire when the lint tube is clogged up

My amana dryer took two cycles to dry cloths and now it just stopped working all together and makes a buzzing noise like it is stuck.

check the belt! also check the drum rear bushing after you remove the back and remove the top! then take the 2 inner front screws lose from the front cover and take the 2 bottom screws out and look to see if the drum/tub guides are worn out

Drum doesn't turn in maytag neptune MDE9700AYW

Just remove the screws around the vent tube in the back and you can see the belt tensioner laying there on the floor of the dryer.
Most likely someone turned the drum the wrong direction and the belt came off.
The belt goes through the opening in the tensioner and under the idler pulley and then onto the motor drive pulley. Make sure to have the tensioner mounted into the floor first.
It just slides over into a slot and then over to the other side as tension is put on it.

Error code dHE

Several reports in Australia of brand new LG Washer/Dryer combo (model number WD14700RD) getting dHE error's with very 1st dry cycle.
I bought a LG WD14700RD last week, and yup, washed fine.

Dryer cycle results in dHE error.
Everytime.
Cycle stops & you just have to power off the machine.

Service man found several possible causes.
He unscrewed the top of the machine off & said dHE errors are related to the dryer components. He started a dryer cycle & watched & lisened to machine.
He observed the dryer fan was not starting up.
He unplugged the power cable to the dryer & replugged.
The fan now started up, but only with cold air.
He then looked towards the front of the machine & noticed several cables had come loose from their sockets, one he identified was the heater element cable.
He plugged that back in & another unknown cable was also loose. He plugged that back in.
It worked.
dHE error gone & dryer fan started & pumped out hot air.

It seems at least a few of these machines during transit (from South Korea?) fail due to cables coming loose from their sockets.
dHE errors result if fan cable & fan heating element cable come loose.
My thanks to WAM electrical repairs in Box Hill (Melbourne) for helpfull advice & successfull repair.
For people looking at buying this machine, it washes & now dries perfectly well & I am happy with the machine.
But beware that this problem is out there (there are several other reports I read) and it have this problem, which is easily fixed but does require a service call out, under warranty of course.
