Question about Brother Office Equipment & Supplies
Won't connect...says reboot. I did still says it.
This happened to me today. The problem was that I updated my Adobe reader (i scan to pdf files) and suddenly it erased itself from the options menu. All i had to do was to add it again. Thank God because uninstall and reinstall everything would have taken so much time. Just sharing in case someone has the same problem.

The problem with the experienced error comes from mspaint not being installed. Go to Control Panel and Add/Remove Programs and reinstall mspaint.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I had this same problem while trying to scan from my Brother DCP-8085DN into Mozilla Thunderbird. It was shortly after Thunderbird updated to 6.0.2 version. What worked for me is to completely uninstall the Brother CC3 (control center 3) and reinstall it. This will give you the most updated verson of CC3 and hopefully give you the drivers/software you need to scan to email. After the long process of reinstalling the CC3 (its MFL-Pro Suite software/program), you need to open up the CC3 configurations and in the scanning to email menu, there is a drop down menu and Thunderbird had appeared. I made sure to change it for both the "software button" and the "device button". Good luck to all!

A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer. Reboot your pc. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer. Then try to print again once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection.
