Printer wont print, paper light comes on, there is paper in tray. printer Fan appears to be on.

Printer is not printing. The paper light comes on and usually there is a paper jam or no paper. There is paper in there and no paper jam. The toner light and drum light are NOT on. it does not seeem to be picking up paper. Linda I tried resetting this but it did not work. Any other suggestions to get this fixed fast?

Check the paper tray settings and make sure they are alinged with they type of paper you are using. (Ex. Letter) These settings have to be perfect in the tray so the printer knows what paper is in there. Usually when this happens the printed is asking you if you want to use the tray anyway and by pressing the button you are saying yes so it prints. Try loanding the manual tray with letter paper and see if the same thing happens.

I have a hp officejet printer hooked up to my daughters windows xp. It is installed and when you click on print it printing but it will not print. All the lights are flashing on the top.

Well here is the resolution for the problem.

As you had mentioned that the printer prints on given command print but the print outs are not coming out of it.

Well sometimes even if you had not set the papers in tray properly than also it wont take paper to print out.

It will sound like its printing but the paper is not getting in. So please check the paper tray if it is not set properly please set it or even the pages you used in it are in proper order or not even check that as well.

Well sometimes If the printer run out of cartridge than also it wont print anything even it insert the page ven it will come out as blank as it was inserted, So please check if your not run out of cartridge if so please change it and your printer will start working again.

Please do reply me if you still have the same problem or any more problem.

Naiven.

Printing photos and the colour wasnt printing good, then error B200 appeared, then another error 5020 appears

Try keeping the paper only in the bottom tray (there's a tray in the bottom) Try pulling any paper out of the top and just close that top tray. Open up the head so that u can see the ink cartridges and turn the printer on and off and maybe it will center itself again. If it's still not working (even if lights aren't red and print head wont align in the center) try manually moving the head back and forth like 18 times so you can lubricate that rail in the back that's holding it. After that, re-turn it off and on again.

Can't print from the MP tray?

When you print labels or envelopes you need to select the correct tray from the print menu. (File print or ctrl P) or the printer will think the normal paper tray is being used.

You can force the printer to change the tray after the print has been sent by pressing the continue button on the printer, just make sure that the normal tray has no paper in it.
