Question about Uniden 5.8GHz Dual Cordless Phone
The phone does not ring I assume because it is set to Do Not Disturb. I have gone through the entire menu and can not find how to set it back to ring mode. aq90032466 I can not seem to remove the do not disturb from my uniden.
The do not disturb feature (DND) allows you to mute the ringer, the base, and any registered handsets at the same time. The phone must be in standby mode. Press and hold do not disturb on the base. You will hear a confirmation tone, and the DND LED illuminates. To cancel the DND feature, press do not disturb again. You can also mute the ringer tone while the phone is ringing by pressing do not disturb on the base.
Activating the DND while the answering system is off will turn the answering system on automatically. The answering system setting will reset to the original setting when you cancel the DND.
If you press answer on/off when the DND and the answering system is on, both of the DND and the answering system will turn off.
To mute the ringer tone temporarily for each handset or the base, when the phone is ringing, press the MUTE soft key on the handset or the base. The ringer tone will return to the previous setting starting with the next incoming call.

When there's no call on the phone, push up on the round button that controls Caller ID and Phonebook. The display will show call volume, and it will be on off zzz. Push up again and you'll set the volume to low.

It has something to do with the silent button on the # sign on the non waterproof phone. We did one entry to turn it on and pressed the same button again, which turned it off, and we noticed that it took the Do Not Disturb writing off of the waterproof phone and when we called our number, to our surprise, the phone rang. Hope this helps, although even when I read this myself, I go "Huh!" but it worked!
