Question about Hayward SAND FILTER, PRO SERIES
I can't get the pressure up past 8 i've back washed it and rinsed it if i put it on recurcualte it will go up to 10 . if it has to much sand would that casue that problem
If you're talking about the pressure on the filter tank, 8-10 PSI is a good and normal range. You don't want to increase the pressure in this tank. In a perfect world, it would stay in the 8-10 PSI range.
But, it will not stay at 10 PSI because the more stuff is removed from the water the more clogged the filter gets and the higher the pressure goes -- when it gets to 15-20 PSI it's time to backwash and recharge the filter.
"if it has to much sand would that cause that problem"
If you reduce or remove the sand from the filter the pressure will go even lower. You have no problem I see.. I could be missing something...
