Took brand new radio to the beach, a high wave came in and submerged the radio while it was turned on.Turned it off, cleaned out sand, let it dry. Now it will turn on and show display, but no sound, except for popping from speakers?

There's a setting to turn the touchpad on or off. Yours has probably been turned off. Here's how to turn it on.
1. Press and hold Alarm Setup (Menu) on your remote until -SETUP MENU- appears in the display.
2. Press Tune/MP3 until TOUCH PAD- is displayed (8 presses)
3. Press Time- or Time+ to select OFF or ON
4. Press Alarm Setup (Menu) to exit the menu, or simply wait 10 seconds.
On the radio, repeatedly press the Alarm Mode button until the desired alarm mode indicator below "Alarm" is displayed. The music note indicates radio and the sound waves indicate the alarm tone. If no icons appear on the display, that means the alarm is turned off

To turn alarm 2 on/off, follow these steps:
Turn the system off
On the radio, press and hold the Alarm Set button. "Alarm" flashes on the display
Release Alarm Set, and repeatedly press Alarm Mode until the desired alarm mode indicator above "Alarm 2" is displayed. If no icons appear on the display, that means the alarm is turned off. I am not sure how to fix your radio; but my wave radio wasn't working and I took it into a Bose store and got an excellent trade in for a new one. I traded a wave radio without a CD player for a new Wave radio with a CD player. I would take your radio into the nearest Bose store.
I am assuming this is not a sound issue, and an entire headset not coming on issue. Here are the steps that I would take...
1. Put in BRAND NEW BATTERIES!!! (Usually that is the culprit) ;-)
2. Unplug and then re-plug in all wires and cords to the console and the controller.
3. Check to see if the wires are connected from headset to end cords (on the one that plugs into the controller).
4. Once everything is connected and with brand new batteries, it should work, turn it on again. Remember the beep sound goes up when the turtle beaches come on, and the beep sound goes down when the turtle beaches are turned off.
Hi, Mine did the same thing. I took the cover off and took the radio apart. I discovered the FM/AM tuning crystal was separated from the mother board (soldering failed). Anyway, when figured out where the crystal went I reinserted it and it worked great. I considered gluing it back in but opted to test my soldering skills and it worked out just fine. The crystal is a small silver electrical component with 2 prongs that plug into the motherboard.
Is the replacement a few dollars less than a new one and then S and H is it worth that? Or buy new...? Never head of any company exchanging a camera for any difference in price unless an extended warranty... Yours really UP? then You lose buy new!
That is your choice! If you want???

Bose will not release their schematics or parts lists, effectively
giving them a monpoly on repair of these units. Their web site,
www.bose.com, offers to repair most Wave radios for $100 or to provide
a $200 allowance towards purchase of a new Wave. Before you spend the
big bucks on theis trouble-prone product though, you might want to

There's a line fuse inside the radio, mounted on a PC board. CAUTION:
disconnect the set from power before opening the case or poking around
inside. The fuse could be bad, but these sets are notorious for losing
the power transformer. If the fuse is ok then you are looking at a
$100 repair fee from Bose. You might want to check out the new HD radios -- better sound, MUCH lower price.
