For the most if you want to clean it it will take you a while, depending on your model, disconect the unit from the power outlet first, from the back panel remove about 6- to 8 screws an then you will see the inside back panel expose to be vacumm, you'll see the back panel of the shoot that runs behind the dryer, take the i think 4-5 screws an vacumm it, i dont think is going to hurt your machine if a little fell in there, a quick way is try to remove the exhaust tube off the back an insert the vacumm cleaner, to clean the tube going out of the house you can use a strong shopvac, to **** it in or a leaf blower to push it out ...........good luck!

I'm sorry to hear that a sock fell into your lint screen chute and I would like to assist you. Be sure to unplug the dryer prior to servicing it! Do not run the dryer until you are able to remove the sock! There are two ways to do this.

My kenmore elite dryer that i bought 2 years ago lint trap corner is catching my clothes and tearing them. we had it replaced and its doing it again. I am tired of messing with it. Please help.

don't know if you already had this fixed, usually this is caused by not having your dryer cleaned out,the lint builds up inside the duct that the lint filter slides down into and has to be removed and cleaned out.also in some of the kenmore dryer ducts there's a metal clip inside the duct that can come loose and hold the lint filter up.these are the two most likely causes for this to happen.

Lint is massing toward the bottom of the lint trap

please check your exhaust vent, where the dryer air comes out of the house, this particular pattern is very indicitive of a slow moving exhaust, you may need to clean the duct between the machine and exhaust as well

Lint fell down the lint trap. How do I get it

Luckily, dryers are light. Best thing to do is pull it out until you can remove the back cover. (unplug it first) Then vacuum and clean all the dust and lint you can. This should be a yearly thing at least anyway. Replace the back plug it in and slid it back. I do mine every 6 months or so.

Lint trap

http://www.pcappliancerepair.com/model-display.php This will show you how your dryer is put together. The lint has gone directly to the fan, where it could affect fan performance. You would have to remove the front off the dryer, and the cover off the fan area. It's not a bad idea to clean this area once in a while.

Lint fell back into lint trap. how can i get it out? already looked in back.

An appliance store can sell you a brush that is attached to a long wire. It is made specifically for removing lint from dryers. I have seen them at walmart and other places but for sure at an appliance store. Good luck.
