Question about Dell OptiPlex 170L PC Desktop
Getting the following
notice:The primary IDE master hard drive SELF MONITORING SYSTEM has reported that a parameter has exeeded its normal operating range
dell recommends that you back up your data regularly.
A parameter out of range may or may not indicate a potential hard drive problem.
Strike F1 key to continue, F2 to run setup utility.
You are getting a SMART error indicating that the hard disk drive is/has failing/failed. Likely, the only way to get data off the drive is to send it to a data recovery center, then install a new hard drive. Data recovery is generally expensive, but if you are interested you can contact places like DRIVESAVERS 800.440.1904
