Question about Lexmark C910 Printer

1 Answer

It won't start.

Lexmark C910 printer won't start. Dots move across the control panel once, then it stops with one dot. Fans run and it even sounds like it is warming up, but it never starts working

I own a SL1200 MKII and when the light "turn on" in the pitch control slider (green LED) the speed is not correct (big dots on platter move slightly) .Could you please give me some tips to solve...

Use the slide on the pitch control to move forward or backward until the dots stay steady. If it is a little old the quartz control won't work as well.

I have dots running across the screen

If the dots are red and green, that's normal. Just enjoy your hd picture. actually, I think the dots make it look clearer. The only time I can really see them is when the screen is black.

Sound wavers (speeds up and slows down)

you need to replace the Pitch controls. I'm presuming it is a sliding pitch control. Use the Red start stop lights that reflect on the rotating wheel. put the pitch in center 0. does one row of the dots on the wheel stay completely still.now just turn it up op down a bit until it starts to move the dots slightly. now watch the dots now while there moving. Do they fluctuate they should be smoothe. do this on both decks to find out which one is fluctuating.

hi i've been across this problem before ..
before you loose your patience just try to reinstall the toner..it's quite delicate in this specific printer ..make sure u here the little sound of clipping (mean the appropriate positionning of the toner is achieved..
if it still don't work just redrop a line in here ..we will find another way to go ..:)

I have been having the same problem. It started as constant white dots obscuring the menu but as you hardly use the menu I left it. Then I had a row of white dots 5 dots high all the way across the screen about two thirds of the way up. This only happened on Ext1 and Ext 2. I tried 3 different Scart and A/V cables in ALL the possible connections in the back and still I got the dots. This has gradually got worse and I now have a screen full of flashing dots. With it being out of Warranty (18 month old) I have been referred to a company to repair it.
Estimated cost £263.37 inc VAT  Diagnosis: Needs a new PCB board Time to fix: 1 week
I shall update once I know more/final cost, on Wednesday.
In future I shall be taking the extended warranty out. :o(
