Tempature/compus wont turn on or show up

I was going to say it should be covered under the factory warranty, but not if its a 2000 Ford. I would check the thermostat.

Car should still be under new car warranty so take it back to the dealer for replacement of the faulty part

Check the coolant temperature switch. Maybe faulty

Check for a broken belt. If your water pump is not turning, it will cause the engine to get hot and the radiator wont steam. If a belt is broken it would also explain the no A/C condition.

I think you should start thinking it might not be the gage itself but >Problem with the wires in the circuit itself Also warm car up take a thermometer & check coolant tempature cross referance with temp gauge in the car

with winter being here you might want to consider having a new thermostat put in to increase the heat in side,but make sure your radiator is full when engine is cold

you will probably need to replace the tempurature sensor it's self the car is not actually getting hot.

either you have a bad wiring prolem or you need new gadges

I think your cooling system has air in it, Try and find a place around the thermosat that can be opened a small valve it may just look like a nut, with your car running and radiator cap off, turn the heater on and fill with coolant till it runs out the valve with out air, then top off the radiator to full. also top of the coolant overflow tank.
