Zbd6880ko3ss will not start

None of the controls on the control strip do anything. It beeps when closed, and the the panel lights for added heat and cycle indicator are illuminated, but nothing I press makes the cycle start. I have tried unplugging it to see if it would "reboot" but no luck. I tried holding down the start "button" but that didn't work either.

Same issue, machine is about 30 days past waranty. Door switch broke, but of course they (GE repair) do not fix the switch, you have to order the Escutcheon Body (whole panel) to fix ~$350 total.

You somehow got it in TEST/Maintenance mode. I think if you PRESS and HOLD Start for 15sec, it will go back to normal. If not, pull the plug and let sit for 1/2hr

Cheers!

SOURCE: I have a GE Dishwasher model PDW9200J and the

The Start/ reset button is part of the integrated keypad on your model and you will have to replace the whole strip.

See item 719 in this diagram.

Hope this helps. If this is different to your model then please post a comment so that I can find the correct part for your dishwasher.

SOURCE: GE GLD5560 won't start

Although this post is old, I will help anyone else that is searching for the answer. I too had this problem but after looking at the schematics for this dishwasher, I could see where the problem was.
First, open the door and remove the eight screws that hold the inside cover to the front door on. BE CAREFUL. There are wires attached from the front panel of the door to the inside panel for the soap dispenser. Close the inside panel by slowly raising it up into its closed position and locking into place. Looking at the front panel from the inside, there is a black box at the top with a white PLASTIC PIN. This pin activates the "CLOSED" signal to the control unit. Push and HOLD the white pin DOWN until the system resets. If this does not work, you may need a new unit which runs about $6. After reseting the system, raise the front panel slightly and press and hold RESET/START for 5-6 secs. Now, with a second person holding the inner liner against the machine tightly, I started a cycle and it worked fine. Unlock the inner panel and slowly lower back down and replace the 8 screws.
It's really very simple 10 min fix. the reason this happens is due to the flawed design of the SWITCH PIN, which is not rigid enough. It tends to move side to side and become stuck. A better quality PIN assembly would solve this issue for GE forever.
Have fun.

The computer network doesn't understand the feedback caused by LED Control Modules.

E240B Fridge Freezer door open alarm goes even when door closed.

Fridge keeps beeping or buzzing: The following is for Frigidaire models but others can be addressed similarly.

Several Frigidaire refrigerator models have an electronic control panel on the freezer door the owner can use to adjust the internal temperature, dispense ice and water and receive notification about issues such as the need to replace a water filter. The refrigerators also emit a beep for various actions and as an occasional alarm. Determining what causes the beeps necessitates some troubleshooting.
Temperature Controls ·A Frigidaire refrigerator's display panel blinks when the control panel is touched to set temperature controls. After pressing "Freezer Temp" or "Refrigerator Temp" on the keypad, press the arrow buttons within five seconds to increase or decrease the desired temperature. If you do not press the arrow buttons within five seconds after pressing "Freezer Temp" or "Refrigerator Temp" on the keypad, the refrigerator beeps to indicate the current setting will stay in place.

Door Open ·When you leave the refrigerator or freezer door open, the refrigerator beeps. Also, the "Door Ajar" indicator illuminates on the appliance's display panel. Shutting the door and pressing "Alarm Reset" stops the beeping and turns off the "Door Ajar" indicator light.
·The Frigidaire refrigerator has a control lock feature that prevents use of its control panel or dispensers when the unit is locked. When the control lock is active, a beep sounds when a keypad or dispenser is pressed. Release the control lock by pressing the "Control Lock" icon for three seconds. A beep will sound, and the icon's light will go out.
Power Reset ·A power reset is occasionally necessary if the Frigidaire refrigerator's control panel does not work normally or a reset function on the keypad does not work. A power reset involves disconnecting power to the refrigerator by unplugging its power cord from the electrical outlet, waiting 30 seconds and plugging the power cord back into the electrical outlet. When the control panel resets, a beep sounds. If the refrigerator beeps even after a power reset and the beeps' source is not known, contact Frigidaire.

II might need the actual model number. However, you can go to page 9 on this manual and check if the flashing options can fix the problem. I am assuming you have already tried to turn the power off and back on.

The ohter thing to try is the reset sequence. Within 6-7 secs press High Temp/ Heat Dry/ High Temp/ Heat Dry/ High Temp/ Heat Dry. All lights should light up, press Start button to exit.

Hi! We have a GE Profile PDW9280J0SS with electronic control malfunctions. I can't get it out of the ADDED HEAT mode and many of the other button lights won't light up. I've flipped the breaker several...

not a specific fix, but I can tell you I have this same exact model dishwasher, since 2005, and it has been services for touch pad button problems at least a dozen times. I am in fact on the phone now with service scheduling another visit because it is stuck on the 'china' setting.

This problem happens because of moisture getting in/under the touch panel on the top.

The service rep at one point installed some kind of channel to help vent - no help.

Numerous times they replaced the computer and touch panel - basically every time. It will last for a while, then die.

Finally the reps started telling me it was because it was installed wrong - because our granite counter top sticks out so far, it needs extra space to properly vent steam out. So finally I pulled it out and took out the metal feet. I now have over a full inch of clearance. A rep said that should be plenty. It did last longer - about 2 months versus 2 weeks before it started to show signs of problems, but it still happens even with all that clearance to vent.

What I would give to have an old-school simple mechanical push buttons on the front cheap-o dishwasher right about now, with all the time I have wasted.
