To try and resolve the issue, please follow these steps:
1. With a flashlight or other bright light, please check the paper feed areas of the printer and verify that there are no paper jams or obstructions in the printer that may be causing the error.
2. Look inside of the printer where the inks are located and ensure that there are no obstructions in there that may be causing the print head not to move freely.
3. Remove and reseat all of the ink tanks in the printer.

As soon as I started using recycled ink cartridges, I started getting a paper jam error on my printer. The control panel message instructs me to remove the back panel and clear paper jam. I've done this several times but there is no paper to clear and the message keeps coming back. I've tried turning of the printer and unplugging it to clear the memory, but that doesn't help. Could it be that the chip on the ink cartridge is messing with the printer's operating system?

My cannon IP1900 printer cannot print, it says paper jam, orange light blinks. I need assistance

Dear Sir,

i am giving u step to solve your problem,

Step 1 Turn your printer off and on to see if it can take out some or all of the jam automatically. If not, turn off the printer and go to the next step.
Step 2 Inspect where the printed paper stops. If the stuck paper is visible and on its way out of the device, try to manually remove it. If you can not pull the rest out easily, then refer to the next steps.
Step 3 Remove any paper trays. Check if any wrinkled or damaged paper is still stuck in the printer. If so, remove any other appliances you can (toner or ink cartridge if necessary) and look for the paper shreds. Make sure nothing has been left in this device.
Step 4 Tidy your blank papers, turn the printer back on and try it again. If the paper jam massage still appears, repeat the above steps. If no paper stuck in your device but the error still persists, well then it’s likely your printer is experiencing another hardware issue: maybe the rollers or some other part need to be adjusted or replaced. Check the printer manual and the manufacturer’s website for directions, or contact your support line for additional assistance.
Things you should take care when manually removing paper
l You should be careful, especially for a laser printer – laser printers can get hot.
l Do not remove your jammed paper from where the blank paper enters the printer, or your device might be damaged easily.
l If you find a piece of jammed paper, pull it out with both your hands carefully so as to keep the paper from tearing. If several sheets of paper jammed together, try to loose the jam by pulling out the middle one first.
l If the paper does tear, you may need to manually rotate the gears that feed the paper through the printer to free the shreds. Don’t force anything.

Thanks For Your Time,

Hi, I have an e20 cannon copier. There was a paper jam, the paper was removed and then when I go to restart the copier it still has that paper jam icon showing. I looked everywhere in the machine and there...

Hi, I solved the problem. I had another employee look it over and there was still a teeny teeny piece of paper that was still jamming it up. So once that was removed the copier started working okay again. Thank you for taking the time to try and help me. Sould I encounter any other copier problems I'll get back to you.

Indicating paper jam but there is not jam

turn off and unplug for a good 10 seconds, then plug in/power on. If it still shows jam, have another look inside, some torn paper might be jammed inside.

I'm trying to replace black color cartridge, but get an error message: carrier jam How do I unjam it? Already did the unplug- check for paper jam and luck!

Remove all paper...(inspect closely for paper jammed way inside!)

also remove both ink cartriges, reinsert them one at a time carefully and properly....also double check the number code on the ink

the jam error could be either paper or cartriges confusing the printer. let me know if it works....k

Cannot get printer to print

1. Unplug the printer completely. Move the ink cartridge cradle gently to the left. Over to the right at it's usual resting place you will see a small pad about 1cm square. This pad and the area around should be covered with ink. Get a microfibre cloth and press down on this pad - it's not fixed so should come away with the cloth, otherwise use tweezers gently. Squeeze the pad several times between your thumb and forefinger while inside the microfibre cloth to remove ink build up. Then when not much ink comes out on the cloth, clean the area in the printer around the pad so that looks free from ink too. Then position the pad back in place, move the cradle back into position, plug in and switch on - should work fine now. But it's worth checking for any paper caught near the ink pad as my error occured after a paper jam. Good luck :)

Make sure to clean all the parts thoroughly.
If this does not resolve your issue, let me know.

Cannon copier pc940 paper jam

canon i960 -three flashing orange lights (paper jam error) but no paper is jammed. The print cartridge1.gif will not slide to center either-- I have tried to get the printer into service mode, but cannot get there because the orange lights never stop flashing.
