Question about Computers & Internet
At this juncture the only possible thing you could try is getting in touch with your ISP, ATT and request them to enable this feature from your DSL router They should comply after hearing your purpose or ask for a static IP for your connection. Once u have a static IP u can yourself do this change of settings on your router by the method described by the other 2 experts. Also feed the data as regards the server you are trying remote access for. Include all details, like IP, Gateway and dns server address for yor router to enable connecting to it. I remember reading somewhere that you need to change your dns settings and match it with the server you are trying to access at your end only for this purpose and then again go back to the dns settings as given by your ISP to be able to roam the net. Also at the server end you got make your PC recogonised by the server so that it remembers your IP and accept it as a part of it own metwork, only then will you be able to remote access it.......................sodeep
